      honestly, hes pretty damn knowledgable with the game of course, I dont agree with him all the time but who really can always fully agree with another. These are sports opinions and analysis and debating is part of the fun.
      His comment back in what 2007? stuck with me before the modern run and gun era and position less basketball is that the Positions are just templates that the player is supposed to be based off not what the player is supposed to be exactly and stated that Basketball SHOULD or is supposed to be position less back in 07
      But damn his voice is damn annoying as an analyst tho. Him with a marv Albert voice and he would've been a GOAT analyst.

I told Jalen I was a huge fan of The Fab 5 and he pulled out an authentic Michigan Jersey and autographed it "PK Dream Big" and I still have that jersey today and will keep it until I die and pass it on to my kids. • @ItsJWandoe
      @ItsJWandoe 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Yes! And while I do agree somewhat, rich people are not obligated and many probably choose not to because of the lack of appreciation. Many times, the neighborhoods they come from either reject support or are not transparent about what is needed in the community. Speaking from my perspective of my hometown in S Carolina only.

    I know this is from a year ago but I want to personally thank Jalen Rose. He holds a lot of contests on Jalen & Jacoby and a couple years ago he was running one for Puma giftcard if you called in and told your story. I told him how I was struggling most of my life, in and out of jail, two prison bids, but spent the last 5 years of my life turning stuff around. That man made sure on air that "the young man who turned his life around gets one" before the contest even started. To have someone in power give someone like me a chance is something I'll never forget for as long as I live. This man truly cares about the people around him regardless of background or makeup. An amazing human being.

Not one of the most intelligent sport personalities, not one of the most intelligent ex-players, not one of the most intelligent African-Americans, one the most intelligent and insightful PEOPLE in the media today. I came up in the 90’s and rocked the black socks and baggy shorts with pride. I was in crowd to see the Fab 5 beat the Eddie Jones Temple team followed by the Kerry Kittles Villenona squad to reach the Final Four. Watching his journey from then until now has been a privilege. And you can see he really f**ks with Matt and Jack. This was without question one of the dopest interviews they’ve done. Y’all are Killin it. And I love to see it. Salute fellas!

    He should get with his production company and try to make a movie or limited series on his life someday. His story is very interesting. From being named the first Jalen in history, him growing up in Detroit during the 80s early BMF era, not knowing his father who was the #1 pick in the 1967 NBA Draft, playing at Michigan with the Fab Five and all the crazy stories behind that, being drafted to the NBA, rising up the ranks to be a respectable player, transitioning in media, almost meeting his father but suddenly dies, the beef between him and C Webb, and starting his academy. His life deserves to be on the big screen for sure.

    This is one of the greatest episodes! Born and raised in Detroit and playing high school basketball there, it is soo cool to hear Jalen and C-Webb talk. We understand all the lingo, gestures and whatnot in a way those not from the area don't. Especially when C-Webb said " Whatup Do ? " during his Hall of Fame speech! Shout out to you guys for keeping it real on the show. Jalen Rose made my relocation from Detroit to Colorado easier when the Nuggets drafted him the same year. Felt like a took I took a piece of Detroit with me. Any one of you guys should be the next Detroit Pistons head coach, if not all three as the coaching staff. You all have the attitude the young roster needs. Stephen Jackson the Malice at the Palace can be forgiven bro. What an irony that would be. All three of you along with C-Webb should be front runners for the Detroit Pistons head coaching job. Great show guys!

    23:18 Jalen talks about BMF walking into his high school games at Southwestern in the late 80s to 1991 in the middle of the 1st quarter making a grand entrance like Pac did on Above The Rim is exactly what one of my guys who went there at the time told me when BMF became more mainstream in the early 2000s.
    I’m from Detroit and was a freshman at another school when Jalen was a senior and so was C-Webb at Country Day High. They were superstars. Jalen was the man on a high school team that had fellow future NBA players Voshan Leonard and Howard Isley with the entire squad getting D1 scholarships. That squad was number 1 in the country and Jalen was the top and most popular guy.

    I just discovered ALL THE SMOKE and I'm really enjoying the shows so much. I've loved basketball all my life. Had my hopes and dreams which carried me for some years though anyone but me knew it was just a dream... (if only I'd been 6-7 or 6-8 and been a step faster ---- no, two steps faster I coulda done something! : ) but for me and what was in my heart it was a sweet dream. Even after high school and a little college I was playing at the Y just having fun, balling, having those little moments in the games where you go yeah, that's good and so on and so forth. And I had my pro team and studied the game and can enjoy and i think understand the game you see on TV. Now as I'm a bit older a show like this is just fascinating to hear you guys talking about your lives and experiences in basketball and life in general. It's enlightening and entertaining all the same. Hats off to your successes and your guests. It's good. Keep doing it. Signed, "Just some slow white guy, top dog on my school playground but always getting picked fourth or fifth when we went cross town." Didn't care. Being around talent, learning the game, s'alls good! 😎 ps. loved Muhammad from the moment he knocked down Sonny. A great American soul...
