don't worry about people who say being on a tour isn't really travelling, travel the way you like it! tours are great if you want a planned journey and guides to contact if you get into trouble (fingers crossed you don't). but i would 100% recommend trying out doing a little bit of travelling by yourselves, the flexibility is amazing and you'll experience things you could never do on a tour! i like both options but a tour is still real travelling, just less spontaneous and that's not a bad thing ! :) x
We completely agree with this! It's quite strange that people are judging the way people choose to travel. We think tours are a great way to travel, for the reasons you mentioned in your comment but solo travel without a tour is great too! Different types of travel work just for different people! :)
Qatar is not in the United Arab Emirates, it’s a different country. And it’s only a few hours ahead as it’s not that far East from the U.K.- most of the 7-8 hour flight there is going south as well as east xx
This vlog just made me want to be on holiday asap! Like the airport, drinking at 7am just because time doesnt exist on holiday, the gate stress, the heat when the plane door opens. Oh my god i just want to be on holiday!!! Hope you’re having the best time guys! Xx

I went to Vietnam in 2019 and stayed with Vietnam Backpacker Hostels - they are a chain hostel the whole way up Vietnam. We got to the first hostel and spoke with someone at the travel desk and she planned our whole 3 week trip up the country, hostels, buses and all the activities. Would 100% recommend!

I love doing a mix of tours and my own thing, especially when I'm solo travelling, tours are so good for meeting people and I often end up travelling more with the people I meet on tours :)

Crazy excited for you guys! What an awesome experience for you to have together. I also totally relate to the long flight thing! Arriving to the west coast of Australia and realising you still have 4 hours to Queensland sucks! I went back to the uk in 2018 with my family and flying over India was the WORST! Hi! How did you book your PCR and lateral flow test? Also did tru travel sort out your hotel for quarantine? ☺️☺️
The UK PCR I organised through Randox (they’re really helpful!) and no, Tru didn’t organise our Thailand tests but they did help us know where to book and recommended a list of quarantine hotels! I booked the hotel first and then contacted them and asked them to organise the PCR tests (it’s part of their deal of being a quarantine hotel they should provide the service/transport for you to get to the testing site!) and then paid them separately for that. It was a little faffy but the two hotels I used where really helpful and had a good online chat!
