In the two subtitles with winter losses and summer losses, put the two categories in the same order as they are in the chart. Here they are backwards. The Summer bar is on the left, but the Summer reference in the subtitle is on the right.
Some nice ideas, particularly adding color to the subtitle to link it visually with the chart columns. You might want to point out, however, the danger of replacing the legend with a manual subtitle: If the data changes and a new category is added, the subtitle will not reflect the change in the same way as an automated legend. So this method should only be used for data that will be static in this respect, i.e., will never have a new category.

Making the fill transparent on the text box can help with aligning it so that less chart area is sacrificed for white space
