Unfortunately, Victor started making those paddle versions. It’s difficult to find the original metal ones.

If you set the tom cat ones with the cheese just barely above the wood its game over. The victor one you have to hot glue dog food to the mechanism to get it to fire.

Totally humane solution that works to deter mice and rats from entering... peppermint & cinnamon oil but has to be the right variety. This one works great and available on Amazon. Lazy Cat Rodent Repellent

The one with the plastic cheese has a little cup if you put the peanut butter in the cup he will have to stand on the plastic. and wacko.
