Thanks! I'm really pleased with it actually. It works very well and makes keeping an eye on the temperatures etc really easy. In very bright sunshine it can be a bit difficult to read but there is a guy on ebay selling 3d printed hoods for them so that would probably help a lot. I'd definitely recommend one, you can't beat them for the price.
Both canbus and serial will work with it, plus it will take inputs from external sensors too. It'll definitely display afr readings from the ecu but I'm not sure about the gear display
Love your bug. I have big myself with wbx. 2.1dj motor. I turbo mine making about 230hp on 11psi.its a stock motor. Anything more boost the head blows its gasket. Do you have a stock motor and what have you done to keep the head from stop blowing a head gasket. Thank you
Thanks! Mine is mostly stock, but with a different cam and rockers, solid lifters and Scat rods. I don't know about your head gaskets but these engines can take a lot of boost. 30psi is no problem. My car makes 300bhp with no boost controller and just wastegate pressure. Its got a 25psi spring in the wastegate. The builder of my car used to have a 2.1 in it that made a very reliable 416bhp on 30+ psi. His advice to me was that my engine will be perfectly OK with 30psi boost as long as I use high octane fuel and no more that 24 degrees of timing at full boost.
Thank you for your advice. I'm currently building another motor. Stock sub assembly, but fitted counter weights to the crack. Balanced the motor. 1mm oversize valves. Ported heads and a fk 89 cam . I'm currently running mine currently on a 50percent ethonal mix. The new motor I o ringed the sleeves as well. Hoping to make 400hp plus.. On full ethonal.
@@ghaliebryklief9031 Mine has stock crank and stock bottom end, Webcam 86b cam with solid lifters, stock pistons, Scat rods. Scat 1.4:1 rockers on stock valves. Stock heads, but flowed and ported. Custom header, stock plenum but with a Cosworth throttle body. ASNU 1000cc injectors. ECU is a megasquirt and the turbo is a Holset HX35 These are tough engines and they're quite resistant to knock, so they'll take a lot of boost. You should see 400bhp easily. My whole car was built by Marco Mansi - he's the main man when it comes to WBX performance, and IIRC he built a methanol powered WBX motor that made over 1000bhp . Have a look at his website Mansispeed. What he doesn't know about WBXs isn't worth knowing.
Great video. Ive been looking at these for a while now. How do you like it?

@@2BugsandaBack Yeah, I will pick one up soon enough. They seem to have good products.
Hi. CanBus or serial comunication?..... gear display or afr can be displayed?
Tks

If you don't mine me asking. What size turbo are you running.
