You’re like the Bob Ross of Minecraft. There’s a warm, welcoming, slow-going energy from all of your videos that I really appreciate. Incredibly relaxing to watch and follow, even if I already know a lot of what you’re saying. I’m sure other people feel the same, too.

The caves, especially the lush ones below Y-0 are extremely hazardous. Not because of mobs or falls or lava, but because they are so enticing.
I've ran out of torches to light my way, but instead of heading back for more, I feel compelled to continue down, using the glow lichen and glow berries to get what light I can, and I feel I've lost my way.

Heres a great tip to get stacks upon stack of emeralds early:
Find yourself a lush cave and dig up all the clay you can find. Trade that clay with a mason, the standard trade is 10 clay for 1 emerald. this means you can get a stack of emeralds for around 6 1/2 stacks of clay :) using an iron shovel, it takes less than a minute to gather that amount (since one clay block drops 4 clay)

U can also get a Fletcher grow some 2x2 spruce tress by planting spruce saplings in a 2x2 formation and u can either wait for them to grow or bonemeal them to trade with the fletcher, the standard trade is 32 sticks for 1 emerald, so while u r searching for clay the tree u planted will grow and then u can come back chop it down and trade emeralds for both clay and sticks also from one 2x2 spruce tree u will get around an average of 1 stack of logs which can be turned into 256 wood planks which can be turned into 512 sticks can be traded to fletcher for 16 emeralds

I mean to be fair, there will always be a point in a guide style such as this where it becomes a full-on Let's Play. After you beat all the "lore" aspects, the rest is just the player molding the world around them. But I definitely see what you mean and being a player that came back to Minecraft just a few weeks ago after not having played since 1.6, this type of thing is super helpful because nearly EVERYTHING is different from how it was back then haha

@@somaannn Sometimes games are the place a person feels in control of their “world” when real life stresses can feel overwhelming. You go there to create, conquer enemies, feel successful, rack up achievements, whatever. It’s a normal human motivation. When something in the game feels too intimidating or seems unmanageable, it triggers the feelings you were trying to get a break from. For some folks, that’s frustration or anger, for us it’s anxiety. Like first lets just get into a hole that i can fit a few chests and a bed and stove in, start some farms, and spend the next 30 hours filling chests with different woods and stones. while maintaining a steady food source.

I vote for exploration! For one thing, I’m curious about what you would do with a village when you find one. In my first survival game I found a village not far from my spawn point, and left them to their own while I worked on my first house and explored further. I few days later I found one of the villagers working on building a road far away from the village. Some time after that I visited the village again, and it was completely deserted. There was a hole in the ground leading to a cave in the middle of the village, so I have no idea whether the villagers all left or were eaten by zombies.
The other reason I’m voting exploration is to see more of the new biome types. I‘ve been playing the Wii U edition which is quite outdated now, and all of the new things you’ve been showing in your videos are strongly tempting me to get the Java edition.

Loved the video @Pixlriffs! Can't wait for the next video man! I would like to see how Dyes and Leather Armor actually work in Minecraft at some point in the future because I left some color Combinations for Leather Armor to make them into the colors of different Uniforms from the Second world war in your video about Caving for Iron.

it's always a good idea to pick up the loot chests you find
this makes it easier to see which ones you've already looted and also helps saving wood in the early game

As a player who kind of is of the mindset to speedrun the entire game, it's nice to see the slow, calm start you have here. I'm of firm belief that Minecraft actually starts once you've gotten your elytra. But early game is still nice to see.
I think I'm just *a bit* obsessed with megabuilds...

I would love to see you build tents when you're exploring so you have respawns and also a little bit of a story to return to later! Wool is a great tent material!

I'll throw in my vote for exploration, maybe even another campsite before the proper house, 1.18 seems perfect for an early nomadic life ^^

I like how you show everything and if you don’t, you give the exact coordinates of the location, and you don’t teleport away to a village with 10 blacksmiths or something
