I had no idea that it was like that in New Zealand. The ocean looked really rough, no wonder you had trouble sleeping. I probably would stick to warmer climates, I don't like to be cold and wet. The kids getting involved in the maintenance of the boat was good to see. Thanks for sharing, stay safe and have fun my friends. 😊❤😊
Just found your channel. You’re right about how fickle New Zealand weather is. It makes for great sailing experiences! Sadly keeler boats are not as popular as they once were and the numbers of young people going adventuring is decreasing……..it’s a complex issue really. But the increasing cost of living is one of the culprits as the discretionary dollar shrinks. Anyway, glad you’ve made it to our beautiful country and are enjoying shore based activity.
I didn’t realise less young people are adventuring … we got the impression that it was a big thing in NZ … we also got involved in the local orientation club … although my friend is quite active so maybe it’s just a certain type of people . I loved the outdoors possibilities in NZ.
She has been doing okay, she got her GCSE exams and moved onto A level but decided to hold off on more academic study to pursue a career in yachting which she is working on now , getting all the correct certification. She loves climbing . She will be in an episode soon when she comes to visit us .

It’s amazing how rough even a small patch of water can get in bad weather . Sometimes we have seen it so serene here too .

How's your daughter going back in the UK? I haven't heard anything about her for a while.
