I work at a hospital switchboard and I'm the one who has to announce the code blues, rapid responses, and call doctors to respond to emergencies around the hospital. I wish all of our doctors were as responsive and polite as you are on the phone😅 Some doctors are so sweet on the phone and I'm relieved when I see they're on call. Others I dread calling because they're so grumpy and snappy🙃 Even when calling for emergencies like a code blue, so many doctors are "K, bye" and hang up. You answer so politely and say "Ok, thank you, I'm on my way." So polite 10/10
I've followed you throughout your entire journey. What a magnificent journey it's been. From the first video where you nervously wondered how you would introduce yourself to your patients to this video of a strong and confident doctor! Congratulations on your most fascinating, frustrating, and SUCCESSFUL expedition through the life of a physician. My most heartfelt congratulations and well earned admiration. You have done well grasshopper.
Congrats! You're an amazing role model for people. Even though you didn't study pre-med, you can choose any path as long as you're humble, patient and determined.
I have been watching you for 3 years now and you have inspired me to be a doctor when I grow up and work really hard. Right now I am in school, and I admire how you don't care how late you get paged but immediately get it sorted. Congratulations for your transition from residence to attending.
Congratulations. It's been 5 years holy cow. I remember when you started. This pandemic has made things crazy a lot has happened. When you showed the imaging I knew uh oh. I got the virus in January and a month later ended up with AFIB. Currently awaiting ablation surgery in September. Exhausted all the time thanks to my condition and my meds. Eliquis, Metropropol and Amidarone. That didn't even help put me back into NSR. I will be glad to be hopefully back to normal as much as I can be at least. Good luck on your next journey Siobhan.
Congratulations Shibon, I am also resident and started my internal medicine residency along with you, and following you since then. I also completed my residency in cardiology recently. It feels so nice to see your last call as a resident..
So nice to see you again Siobhan! I’m been following your journey for a few years and can’t believe you are becoming an attending you’re going to do great! You are a huge inspiration for me and I can’t wait to see what you do next! 😀
Congrats Siobhan! I have followed you for many years. You’ve really influenced my journey as an allied health professional. You are extremely inspiring. All the best with the next journey, I’ll be right here with you 😃
This is a big inspiration for me because I was stuck between becoming a vet or a doctor and watching your videos has reminded me of ALL the amazing reasons to be a doctor. Thank you for the amazing content and unintentional guidance
One good thing about rheumatology is that it doesn't happen on weekends or at 3am. Plus, these illnesses are not cured, just managed, so a steady stream of work is ensured. I have rheumatologic condition for 20+ years, and have figured a few things out.
Returning the pager for the last time was amazing. I snapped a photo as I dropped it off in celebration! But I still jump when I hear a loud double/triple beep when I go about regular life nowadays. I think that's going to stick for years!
Hi Siobhan!! I remember watching your videos as an undergrad and being fascinated by your work. I was so lost about what to pick for my major and what I wanted to do in my life…but your videos have always kept me engaged. I cannot believe you are done with your residency now!! I remember you jumping with joy when you matched into Rheumatology. Last 4 years just flew by! I wanted to tell you the good news that I’m start veterinary school in one month :)) The hard times in undergrad really paid off. I hope to specialize in internal med (although i’m certain my mind will change a billion times over). Anyways, congratulations Dr!!! You’re an attending now :)
Congratulations!! When I first starting watching your videos, I was still a university student not knowing at all what I wanted to do! But I knew that your videos inspired me, and I wanted so badly to work in frontline health care. So, I decided to do a Social Work degree and now I am a medical social worker! I absolutely love working in health care, in a hospital and with patients. So thank you for helping me find my career too!! It's so wonderful to reflect on years ago having no idea about all these things you meant and now I do! I even share the pager trauma 😅 Good luck with the next stage of your career/life! 😄
Wowowow, I cannot believe this is your final one as a Resident! I started watching you when I was in high school and had no idea what I wanted to do in the future, and because of your videos and how passionate you are, I’m now entering my third year as a nursing major in college! I’ve enjoyed watching your videos for a long time and I’m so excited to see where life takes you next in your career!
I've been watching you through your whole residency and I'm so happy you've finally achieved what you dreamed of excited to see what the future holds for you and your content
Hearing you say "as an attending physician" was sooo satisfying, i've been following you for a few years and you are reaching your goal!! Keep going like that!
Congratulations on finishing your 5 years of residency. I have been watching you grow over the last 5 years, and I am so proud of you. Because of you, I have decided to change my college major from Information technology to medicine. Again, congratulations!
Congrats Siobhan, you finished residency just like that! It has been such a journey for you and many others, the inspiration that you have given us makes you such a role model. Congratulations again Siobhan!
I’ve been subscribed to your channel ever since you were a 1st year resident and I just want to say that you’ve been a big inspiration for me. Watching your videos convinced me that I’d like to go to medical school and I’ll be starting that this fall. While I’ve been waiting for school to start I got my EMT license and have been working for an ambulance company in hopes of giving me a look at what I might be seeing in the ER since I plan on going into emergency medicine. I guess what I’m really trying to say is thank you and congratulations on your last shift as a resident. It’s been a long but fun journey. Also my best guess on why you’d need steel toed boots is that you’re going to do a video over pre-hospital care, probably surrounding EMS on an ambulance. I’m not sure if I’m correct or not but that’s my best guess.
Congratulations! I've been following you for a while now, so very proud of you! And I hope you are proud of yourself! You're going to be one of the doctors that make a difference in so many lives. I can't wait to see what's next in store for you! Good luck!
Im a medical student in Argentina. Ive bien following your journey and it’s also great that i Understand every year more and more, specially now that im seeing patients in the hospital. I Love your videos and im super proud of you! I hope to be a great doctor like you some day💕
It has been exciting to watch your journey - thanks for sharing the highs and lows. Congratulations on moving from residency to attending. Wishing you all the best, hoping you keep your positive spirit and joy as you continue to serve others!
I'm so happy for you! I think I started watching you while you were in your second year of residency. Your confidence has sky rocketed and it has been incredible and comforting to see, for so many reasons. I can't wait to see your future videos. Much love from Maryland US ❤️
What an incredible journey this has been! I have loved watching you grow and become more confident throughout the past few years. All of your patients are so lucky ❤️
Can’t wait to see this new chapter unfold for you! I’ve been watching for most of your residency and now I get to see the entirety of you being an attending physician!
I start my first day of medical school tomorrow! Your videos helped keep me positive through undergrad and the MCAT. Congrats on completing residency; that’s an amazing accomplishment! I am guessing that you need steel-toed boots because you are participating in industrial medicine?!
Congratulations! I’ve been following you on this journey for so long. You were part of the reason why I fell in love with healthcare and studied to become a health/hospital administrator! You’re incredible, and I can’t wait to see your attending videos :).
Thank you for sharing your journey with us. I have watched since your first video and it’s be so awesome to see you go through all the stages to now being an attending.
When I was starting to watch you I was still in university :) now I am a second year medical resident covering our IMC ward. Isn't it amazing how life goes on so fast and how much you learn in such a short time :) congrats to you on your journey!
Hi Siobhan, I've been watching you every step of the way. Congratulations on such an achievement. You're amazing and we are lucky to have you. Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I was so happy to see you had a post up! I keep looking to see if I've missed one. So happy for you on this big step. It must feeling freeing in a small way. Looking forward to your next upload! Stay well.
Hello Siobhan, I like your Last Call Shift of Residency and your good shopping. Siobhan, You are always punctual in your hospital shifts and proved to be a best doctor Siobhan
I think the steel toe boots 🥾 are EMS related !!! I’m an EMT & currently a echocardiography student 👩🎓 congratulations to you Doctor 👩⚕️ I have followed you for a few years and am so happy for you!
It's amazing how many conditions can have the same 4 or 5 symptoms and it's up to the treating staff to make sure they run all the tests to work out which thing it is. It's easy to see both how things get missed and how so many 'excess' tests get run which is something we sometimes see drs, governments and insurance complaining about. I think it's important to remember that a test result of negative isn't a wasted test, it eliminates that one thing and helps decide what tests to do next.
I'm so glad I got to experience this with you. I've always been curious what it's like to become a doctor but never really wanted to be one myself. I wish you the best of luck and I can't wait to see your videos as an attending physician.
I've been feeling that difference of being sedentary for exams too. I graduated with my PharmD in May but since I have scheduled my exams, it has been like my entire existence. Just studying. I have one today and one in two weeks, and hopefully its done and I can also get back to just getting my own health back in check. Its so easy to let it fall to the wayside even though I know its so important for the body.
Congratulations Siobhan 🥂 My daughter and I were at Dr Pav’s office last week and she said she was at your big celebration 🎉🎉🎊🎊👩🏼⚕️!!! We met in her office when I said your name out loud because I recognized your voice. She said you had been laughing about it at your party 😂😂 SO HAPPY FOR you and the Rheumatology patients are BLESSED to have you !! 🥰
UGHHH. Can't believe you are finally out of residency. You have inspired many including me since the start of your journey to become an optimist like you. You inspire me to be the best version of myself. Thank you, and bye for now.
My dad is a GI in the US. I could tell you crazy stories about his call shifts as an attending. I’m so happy for you now that you’ll be an attending as well! Love your videos!
You are such a great role model for women and any human in general. Wow, you have accomplished so much in your life. You communicate so well and treat everyone with dignity and respect. Enjoy all of your hard work and accomplishments. Congrats.
Siobhan, congrats on the final residency shift. Love your channel and videos. You are without a doubt the nicest, cheeriest, most even tempered person on the planet. If you could bottle whatever keeps you that way you’d be rich. Oh, and there’d be no more war, no more haters on social media, and we’d all respect one another and get along.
My daughter is in her second year of residency at USC Keck Hosp and LA County Hosp. In anesthesia. You have helped me so much in understanding her life and work. Thanks.
Sooo happy for you! You’ve worked so hard. I’ve watched you from the beginning and am very thankful you’ve taken us along. I’ve learned a lot. Congratulations and I can’t wait to see what’s next! Enjoy your celebrations! You deserve to celebrate 🎉
Long awaited last call shift been watching you since I think 2nd year of residency! So excited for your new chapter as a doctor! You have me wondering about those boots! Congrats Siobhan! 💜
I too have been watching your content from day one! Not only are you an excellent doctor, but your professionalism in broadcasting and content delivery is also very apparent as well! Congratulations on completing your residency, and good luck as an attending! Having been to all of the same hospitals in Hamilton, while my father was gravely ill in the ICU for all of 2019, it was comforting watching you travel around the various medical hallways. A few months after he passed, you had some very comforting words of encouragement for me, as I posted a comment about him. I thank you for that!
Hey Shiobhan, was just thinking about you and hoped we could have another video soon. Loved it! Congrats on finishing your residency! Your videos really helped when I first got into medicine 3 years ago and now I’ll be studying health sciences at uOttawa in the fall❤️
Were you nervous when you started your job? Keep the videos coming. It would be amazing for you to greet us by saying “ hey guys, I'm Shiobhan, a DOCTOR!”. Again, I love the videos you post online.
So exciting to see you finally finish your residency! I've been watching you for a long time and it's great to see you see this through successfully. Congrats!
@Violin MD Dear Doctor Siobhan, I can really relate to what you said about being on call, especially on weekends when I was a pharmacist working at the Children's hospital in Melbourne, Australia. I just couldn't sleep that well and was always on edge, looking at that beeper, LOL. I also felt that I really couldn't plan for anything, so life had to be arranged around that beeper. I recall being called in just before midnight on New Years Eve. I really enjoyed learning about the diagnosis of the patients conditions in the ER, so I went on to research the medical conditions. Well done on your last shift of residency and a fond farewell to that beeper, for now....Cheers
Woah I just started whatcing your videos literally about an hour ago and poof a new video after 3 months! I wanted to say you're so hard working and I actually love how you're able to give us a general description of whats going on with the patient to help us better understand what you go through in a day, unlike here in the U.S. with Hippa laws. I also wanted to say I don't know how you survive with so much on your plate plus you have amazing cinematography skills! Wow you're really making me feel so motivated to do anything I put my kind to!
Congrats! It’s been amazing to follow your journey. Time flew by! I’m sure you’ll be an amazing attending. I wish you the best of luck in your next chapter.
You are so amazing! I love your videos. I'm a new subscriber. I'm a nurse practitioner and I know patient care can be tough. I don't know how physicians go through 5 years of residency with not sleeping much some nights. You are a tough person and I admire your hard work, intelligence, and passion for patient care. Absolutely love your channel. 💖
I've been watching all your videos. So proud of you and how hard you've worked to get where you are. You are amazing! Great news! I know you have to be so excited
Thanks for sharing your journey through residency with us. I hope your future is as much fun to watch. Your patient’s are lucky to get someone so compassionate as their doctor.
The TH-cam Algorithm (hallowed be thy name) has been given me so many videos from recent and years ago, and one of the things that is consistent in each one is your positive and smile. Thank you for being an inspiration.
I absolutely love your videos, all of them! Especially the ones on call in the hospital, but I love being able to see your life at home on call it’s so fascinating
Hey what's up Siobhan! So good to see you! Huge congrats on completing your residency and moving on to attending!! I'm looking forward to seeing you in this new role! I know you're gonna miss your pager!! LOLOL🤣 That thing became an extension of you! When you arrived at the E.R. it was funny to see that row of pay phones on the wall! You can't find a pay phone hardly anywhere down here in the U.S.🤣Anyways, so glad to see you and I hope all goes well with your attending role and look forward to seeing more content! Be well, be safe and God Bless!
I remember having the pager in residency. My last day when I could dump that off to my program coordinator and get the hell out was great. Nothing like it! Congratulations on finishing residency
I’ve been watching you throughout your whole residency journey! Glad to see your transition from resident to attending!
For the last 2 years she could have called herself a fellow, but she never did.
She is so awesome. I wish there were more doctors like her. She has a positive attitude about everything. Her smile is so widespread

I still have memories of her being a first year medical resident.

Were you nervous when you started your job? Keep the videos coming. It would be amazing for you to greet us by saying “ hey guys, I'm Shiobhan, a DOCTOR!”. Again, I love the videos you post online.
Congratulations!!!! I'm so happy you shared all these years. You're so refreshing and appreciate your positivity ☺️
Well done on your last shift of residency and a fond farewell to that beeper, for now....Cheers
been binging a lot of your videos congrats on everything you've been through I feel emotional and I've known of your existence for less than a day
Your videos seriously make me happy. Anytime I am feeling unmotivated, I just watch your videos.
Congratulations on all of your success!

Ug I feel like a proud mom! I've been watching you for so long! Congrats Siobhan!!!
Congratulations! I started watching you at 10 years old and now I’m 15. Such a cool journey to watch
I’ve been watching you thru your entire residency congratulations on completion - absolutely love your videos - can’t wait for the attending videos
I absolutely love your videos, all of them! Especially the ones on call in the hospital, but I love being able to see your life at home on call it’s so fascinating

Much love 💕💕
It’s been so cool to watch the process sooo happy for youuu
Hey what's up Siobhan! So good to see you! Huge congrats on completing your residency and moving on to attending!! I'm looking forward to seeing you in this new role! I know you're gonna miss your pager!! LOLOL🤣 That thing became an extension of you! When you arrived at the E.R. it was funny to see that row of pay phones on the wall! You can't find a pay phone hardly anywhere down here in the U.S.🤣Anyways, so glad to see you and I hope all goes well with your attending role and look forward to seeing more content! Be well, be safe and God Bless!
I'm at the north end of the Bruce Trail. Seen it from end to end. So many beautiful places along the way.
I have to say no matter how tired you were on screen you always kept that magical smile of yours

I remember having the pager in residency. My last day when I could dump that off to my program coordinator and get the hell out was great. Nothing like it!
Congratulations on finishing residency
I actually miss my pager.
