Hi, I am usually a size M for the harness. Nonetheless found a size L mystic for good price. By adjusting it would it fit? I am usually 30 inch.

I have an ocean rodeo Sessions 3 harness and it always rides up to under my armpits. Gives me trouble breathing and it’s hard to balance when the kite is pulling so high on the body. When should someone switch styles from a waist harness to the shorts style harness?

Hello and thanks for the great video! I have a very prominent ripcage. When putting on a waist harness and tightening it up I have no issues with it riding up on me but it touches the lower part of my rips and after an hour to an hour and a half session I can feel the contact point being sensitive to the touch. What is your advise and do you know of anyone else who had this problem? Thanks a lot.

I was trying some harness on at the shop and all of them were uncomfortable in certain positions. I am an intermediate rider so kite wouldn't be at 12 too much but my old waist harness gave me rip pain. Other than telling immediate comfort, how should I pick which harness is best?

I just measured myself and according to the metric I have a 37 inches waist. I'm 6'1 and weight around 183 pounds which harness should I buy? I have tried the medium and it barely closed. According to the size chart of the Dakine the XL is between 36" to 38" which is right on my measurement. However, someone told me that the Large could be better. What would you recommend me to do?

+edpantous Your waist measurement has you right in the middle of the XL size range, given the information I would say that would be the ideal size for you. If you were to get a large, it would most likely feel tight and not give you room if you were to choose to wear a rash guard, 1m neo topper, or wetsuit. With the XL you would have plenty of room for any of the above yet still have a a good tight fit.
Jeff made a video on how to fit a waist harness. I've included the link for you. Sounds like you may not have harnesses to try on available, but this might help you with a little added information.

I am 174 cm high and weigh 60 kilos. I use medium pants and small shirts. Which size should I wear? Small or medium? I have wide hips but small waist.

Well, since you cannot try them on, I would suggest you go with the sizing chart recommendations for waist size. But, I think you would wear a small.

A large would probably be the right size for you but it is always best if you can try it on for comfort and fit since no two people ever identical.

Why is it that Kauli Seadi, Marcillo Browne or Thomas Traversa are using their harness in the wrong place, just on their hip. Are they kooks? Or maybe you are, at least they are World Champs. A waist harness needs to sit below your navel, hook still below navel, that is where your lumbar spine is geting the maximum support of harness.
No weight lifter uses his lifting belt near to his rib cages, always on lower lumbar spine.
    Even for kiting.
