  • There are many treatment options and resources to help manage OCD, or obsessive compulsive disorder, and find support, including this video. OCD is a mental health disorder characterized by obsessions (thoughts) and compulsions (repetitive behaviors). Dr. Carolyn Rodriguez explains how therapy (including CBT EX/RP) and medication (like SRIs) based on shared decision making with your care team, educational materials, and support groups can all help you successfully manage OCD.
Dr. Carolyn Rodriguez answers 4 common questions about treating OCD:
    • Is OCD treatable?
    • What are the most effective treatments for OCD?
    • How do I find help?
    • I tried one treatment but it didn’t work. What should I do next?
Dr. Carolyn Rodriguez, MD, PhD, is an associate professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at Stanford Medicine.
