That would be quite something. The safety of it might be a concern, especially because you have to be very alert on the open highways. For the same reason, local race organisers do not permit earphones when racing

So let me get this straight. There is a real cycling race that happens with cycles worth lakhs on broken roads, no designated lanes and real traffic which has no clue their are spandex clad two wheel pedalists headed their way. There were many times the cars and truck flew past way too close and many time the bikers riding with the cyclist. I am sure the organizers can atleast try to arrange basic safety itna zyada nonchalant bhi nahi hona. What happens at speed breakers a.k.a mini hill stations on the road? Do you just become mtb riders for those? This is just mind boggling to me.
