The fact that the dude had the female officer trying to still handle it is wild. 😂 Coulda’ been caught her already.

Omg! You took the words right outta my mouth! As soon as she STARTED walking/running/skipping away from the male officer at the beginning of the confrontation, I was wondering why he wasn't whipping out the taser?! Is that NOT common protocol/procedure, or am I mistaken? That young woman is either extremely mentally unstable, three sheets to the wind, or both. My bet is that she's definitely under the influence of something. I kept waiting for the girl to hop the rail and jump into the water, but no. She BIT the female officer instead, and literally drew blood!! Charming. 🙄 Also, super gross. 🤢 As a nurse who's worked for 15 years in geriatric facilities with people who have various mental/psychological issues and varying stages of dementia, I've been assaulted by out of control patients numerous times, including being hit, slapped, kicked, grabbed, bit, scratched, elbowed, I've had patients spit food, medication, drinks, or just plain old saliva on me, I've had objects and even feces thrown at me, and I've also had a male patient attempt to urinate on me, etc. One time, I was even pinned up against a wall by a male patient who threatened to sexually assault me. And that's not even considering the verbal assaults and abuse, which are varied, and far more common, yet are certainly way easier to deal with! When most people think of a nursing home, it's a bunch of cute little old grandmas sitting in rocking chairs and crocheting that comes to mind. The truth is, it can be an absolute circus of madness and pandemonium, depending on the current group of patients you happen to be dealing with. You learn pretty quickly how to pick up on a person's tells. I've become adept in all the ways to best avoid these kinds of situations, although you can never be entirely prepared for every unknown situation. It's best to: maintain a bit of distance to give yourself room to move quickly if/when necessary, be aware of facial expressions, body language, or signs of emotional agitation and escalation, and if you know you're gonna be dealing with a patient who's frequently problematic, always, ALWAYS bring another staff member with you! It was not difficult to tell right outta the gate that that girl was gonna be a major problem. She wouldn't follow orders/directions, she tried to evade, was speaking incoherently and saying things that made zero sense, and sure enough, she led them on a wild goose chase, which albeit, was relatively short, but it was also completely unnecessary, and definitely avoidable. Had the first officer nipped it in the bud at the start, and just tased her as soon as it became clear she wasn't gonna follow orders, cooperate, answer any questions, or even just stay in one spot, those officers woulda saved themselves quite a bit of hassle, annoyance, running around looking goofy, and in the female officer's case, being BIT!!! And not for nothing, but being bit, especially when skin is broken, can easily result in the spread/contracting of various diseases. You just never know, so it's best to avoid getting close enough to an obviously unstable, unpredictable person, if that's doable, and not even give them the opportunity to surprise you like that. His first observation of, "You're acting like a five year old" shoulda had that male officer reaching for his taser and cuffs. Why are we allowing the crazies to run the asylum?!?

And what's up with cops always demanding adults sit on the ground when they approach. Drunk with power.

He didn’t ask her to sit on the ground , he told her to sit down like a civilised reasonable person so he could speak to her, clearly he overestimated her .
