I run through here daily and it is a sad affair how the slaves built all this with their blood sweat and tear 😢. It’s crazy how people can see any of this as great history. People love harping about the Jews and their atrocities but don’t show any compassion for the slave right here in Richmond that went through pure hell worst than the holocaust

I Was born in Richmond and my families history goes back to the early 1700s there. Many of my families greatest members lay sleeping in Hollywood Cemetary. My mother's side of the family is J.E.B. Stuarts wife's side of the family. Across from Their graves is my great, great Uncle and George Pickets personal doctor, Doctor Trevillian, and wife Virginia. We have Confederate family buried in almost every graveyard in the Richmond area. It is a wonderful town to live in.

We should remove VCU from Richmond and return the historical marks that have been taken away. It was easy for the mayor of Richmond to stand strong in front of the protesters from VCU because they were there to sheild him...and yet neither he nor the protesters are originally from the historical area because if they were, they would have understood the history...whether it was right or wrong.

Richmond is losing their historic Monument Avenue to young people that don’t understand how valuable Monument Ave is? They don’t have a clue the people that come from all over to see this beautiful Avenue. The tourism and the beauty of that area . It will be lost forever.

Sheridan Isashitstain Black people should pay all the reparations to the North for freeing your ancestors. They will gladly accept cash.

The past is what made us so great today. We need to embrace our history and learn from it. We should save it and not destroy it. We have grown in to a prosperous country and should be thankful to God that we have done so well but we still have unhappy , uneducated , burning , looting, murdering and destroying communist in our country. They rather see destroyed cities than working for new and improved cities. Black people were a big part of building this country and should be proud of this country.
