What I love about the story is that it leaves questions unanswered throughout the dialogue. The characters don’t always have the answers and they’re unsure of the outcome of the decisions. This is a great way to unravel a storyline. I’m not sure if I’m the hero and they’re not sure either. I’m enjoying it a lot. Lvl 61 and still enjoying myself.

      Right? It's ambiguous in places!

The story is pretty good and is generally overlooked. New World now scratches my "I have a few hours tonight, let me sit on the couch and play an MMO" itch. WoW was that for a long time, but the cost is not justified. Valheim is a close, but very consistent, second. Love your content lately!

Thanks! More to come :) We've still got a few days left before Dragon Age: The Veilguard takes over!

My favorite part about the game is that it feels good. Attacks feel good. Audio feels good. Stories good enough. art is good. crafting feels good. It just feels good.

I have 4k hours into this game and still don't understand how house score works, how come a house with 4-5 decorations have hundreds of points and how someone with full decoration tier5 have 2k points

I wouldn't say its the harvesting specifically for me, the best part is just the atmosphere. The crack of the pickaxe, the sound of a falling tree, the roar of the corruption portals, fighting, gun shots, and the yelling sounds when you get close to a big PvP battle, all that is excellent, the sound designer should get an award for this game.
The game also looks great compared to any MMO out there. The combat is okay, the story for me is, yes way better than at launch but still kinda meh, if I want an immersive story ill go to a single player specific game like RDR2 where you dont have a bunch of weirdos running around bitching about everything.
Crafting and gathering is great for an MMO dont get me wrong but its still MMOey if that makes sense. I would prefer a more in-depth system with more steps or mini games like debark the tree you cut and/or cut it in smaller pieces so you can transport it in a cart like in Valheim instead of just cutting down literally 10s of thousands of tree's over your time in the game and it just magically gets put in your "bag". I realize its an online game and not everyone likes that many steps like I would. Also my biggest gripe with the crafting is you need an insane amount of materials to get to the levels where you can craft the best stuff, most of it is the base Iron ore, Hemp and standard trees yet they still use global timers for spawns, most games now use account timers instead. super frustrating to start out on a harvesting run and a minute in you realize someone farmed everything just ahead of you, getting better now that the hype has dies down a bit but still.
I have always looked at this game as the predecessor to the new LOTR MMO or maybe single player action rpg online game. If that is the case they have a great foundation and hopefully have worked out all the glitch issues that plagued launch, this game in middle earth (first or second age please) world would be insane.

Indeed; I'm HEARTILY looking forward to their Lord of the Rings MMO now that they've got the kinks worked out of New World.

I find if you turn the faction colors on the map makes it easier to navigate and see the borders.

I'm happy you're having such a good time. The gathering and crafting in this game is what I love too. I just can't go back to WOW or ESO because I can do so many things and interact with the game world that the other games cannot. I get bored in them now. I can just get lost in New World...
