- In the peak of one of the hottest summers, we visited Finca Penalajo, nearby Ciudad Real in the heart of Spain. The goal was to film and photography
the Iberian Lynx.
An animal that just a couple of years back was on the brink of extinction.
Encroachment of their habitat and relentless hunting nearly wiped out its entire population from the Iberian peninsula.
But thanks to the combined efforts and the support of many organisations and conservation groups, the population of the Iberian Lynx has gone from
barely 94 individuals in 2002 to promising 1365 Lynx in 2022.
Due to the unconditional and restless work of so many, we can keep enjoying
one of the most majestic and elegant animals I had the luck to witness:
