Professor Jon Altman of Melbourne's Deakin University on the NT 2007 'Intervention'

Following the release in August 2017 of a statement from a group known as 'Concerned Australians' calling on the Government of Australia to end the 2007 'Intervention' in Indigenous communities in the Northern Territory, Deakin University's Professor Jon Altman took time out to explain the history of the Intervention, the ways in which it was supposed to work and the ways in which it has failed to work, leading to what Jon and others have referred to as a 'cultural genocide.'
