A read an article where they were interviewing all the cast members of the show---and they all had nothing but great things to say about Mr. Carey--the constant theme was that he had no ego whatsoever, was very receptive to any ideas they had about ideas/line changes they wanted to do and was also gracious and generous to the cast, crew and even audience members who came for tapings---Mr. Carey came from very humble beginnings (he even still owns his parents home in Cleveland)-and is incredibly grateful for his success
I’ve heard the same. I live in Youngstown which is about an hour away from Cleveland. I have many friends who have run into him. They all say he’s just a really nice guy. One guy I worked with was at a bar in Kent and Drew came in for a beer and bought everyone at the place a drink. The bar was on campus and packed. He said there must’ve been 80 to 100 people there.

Oh I didn't understand a damn thing when this show was on. All I knew was Cleveland Rocks! But seeing the cast in my 30s now, oh yeah this show had to be a banger.
I remember an episode where Drew won a contest and won the use of the Batmobile. Mimi demanded he give her a ride in it. As they were driving one of Drew's neighbors said he didn't believe it was the Batmobile and Drew (with Mimi in the passenger seat) said: "Sure it's the Batmobile...Look I caught the Joker!!" LOL!!
I have never seen that episode and that but still got me cracking up lmao

I do remember loving the intro so much, The Presidents of the United States of America were a great band and provided one of the best intro songs to any sitcom

I remember being a little girl and this would come on never really understood why they all ran out of the building happy and excited (leaving work) . Obviously now I get it 😂 the tune was always so catchy. Going to try and watch this now as an adult :)

Me and my boyfriend were in the u-haul moving from North Carolina to Indiana and we got to Ohio and I had to play this theme song and my boyfriend just started bursting out laughing

I grew up on this show (one of my personal favorites). I would always run out of the classrooms when it's either P.E. or recess and sing this as I ran.
Literally just landed here in Cleveland for my dad's funeral and all i could keep thinking of was this theme song.

Tried it recently, (I am 6 months short of SIXTY) and the pub owner assured me I should be able to walk and chew solid food again by then! How was I supposed to know that his wife and my current girlfriend have the same name!!!!
As a kid I loved this - and Whose Line is it Anyway. Occasionally the actress who played Mimi would show up on Whose Line, which I enjoyed because she was my favorite Drew Carey Show character at the time.

I just moved to Cleveland and this song has been stuck in my head all week. One thing you notice once you actually get here is that they used real Cleveland locations for the intro like The Arcade mall and Progressive stadium.
