Very cute! I love miniature African violets. I have only north/East facing windows so space is limited. Another great review. Thank you.

Hooray for this video. I was wondering about differences between wick watering and top watering. For example, I assumed or thought I heard that wick watering encouraged more blooms and more symmetrical leaves but you are proving that that is not necessarily the case. I find this fascinating and glad you shared this information. Both plants are lovely and jolly bells is now on my shopping list. 🥰 Thanks as always for your videos. Hope you’re having a lovely day. 😻👍

Thank you ! Yes, I too heard that wick watering was especially beneficial for miniatures and semiminiatures due to the small size of their root system and the need to keep it continuously and evenly moist, so Jolly Bells blooming so nicely with the top-watering method was a real surprise! It is so adorable, I highly recommend it! Have a great weekend!!!

Gray Turtle Hi again, Hope you are well this summer. Quick question I am dying to know the answer to: how often do you top water your miniatures? If you’re covering this in a future video, I will be patient and wait for it. 😇

@@motled Most of my minis and semiminis are wick-watered - so they can draw the amount of moisture they need. I do have a few minis that I top-water - I usually water them every 2-3 days. I also cover them overnight, to give them some extra humidity at nighttime, and they seem to like it. Will be recording the video soon, should be ready in 1-2 weeks - stay tuned!:-)

Do you find this variety sucker a lot? I am having trouble keeping it with a single crown. I am thinking of tossing it.
