And while there are others, he's in the top echelon of players in the world - plus to watch him evolve from childhood to today is a great experience in itself if you can appreciate him and his music.

I like Sungha because he actually writes songs instead of 80%+ of the other Candyrat-ish artists who instead just treat every song like some kind of technique and skill demonstration. Sungha's songs have melody, can be followed easily, and still are extremely skillful and challenging songs to play.
Definitely.. Andy is my all-time fave. The only others acoustic artists I cared for are Ottmar Liebert and Oscar Lopez, if you haven't ever listened to them, they are fantastic but are both flamenco style. Always looking for new music. Any recommendations?

How many other people do you know with that track record? great? really? im aware of how percussion guitarists have evolved , now people can play with a flute and a drum while fingerpicking but how did we get here? go back 4-5 years and no one knew how to even play while slapping the guitar. This is a miracle you are witnessing. the reason the world is hooked up to the style of percussion guitaring is because of this guy. Sungha jung is the guy that started this trend (he has the most massive fan following which led to this genre being appreciated more and bandwagoned upon). to say he hasn't done anything great yet is pathetic.
Steven Waynick Not saying that they just come out of the womb and start shredding, some people just learn music faster, they are just more talented, non-talented people might barely get to that level or not get to that level even if they practice alot, and playing by ear comes naturally to some people and others find it really really difficult to learn.
I promise myself to be just like him in the future; a pure guitarist who's sincere in what he's doing and really expresses full emotions to the song/cover and inspire people by showing that no matter how hard it is to play in the guitar (or maybe some other instruments), you could still make it as long as you make it your passion and just be happy with what you're doing...🙂 Well, dunno, that's just what comes to my mind every time I see him play 😶😬
