I was so hyped for this game FOR YEARS only to be so disappointed at launch when I heard all the negative reactions. I was busy with BG3 at the time anyway, so I ended up skipping it despite being a lifelong Bethesda fan. I started playing it for the first time last week on PC after the update. I had been watching the Fallout show which kind of got me back in the mood for a Bethesda experience, so I figured I'd give it a shot despite the worrying criticisms I had heard. Wow, I'm so in love with this game right now. I've been playing it obsessively for days. For me, I've always been a bit of a space nerd, I also happen to live near Cape Canaveral and grew up watching rockets take off and visiting the Kennedy Space Center on field trips, so I REALLY LOVE the aesthetic they went with for this game. I wouldn't say it's absolutely perfect, nor can I really speak on what the experience is like once I'm around the 50-80hr mark, but so far I'm really finding it to be exactly what I wanted in that it's an expansive Bethesda RPG in space with killer graphics. I'd say this game is already in contention for being my favorite game I play this year, though let's see. I'm 20 hours in and I feel like I've barely even scratched the surface. The only gripes I have at the moment are relatively minor, and I feel like there's a couple I could craft some solutions for. I really hope Bethesda doesn't give up on this one because of the whole weird Xbox/GamePass/acquisition/whatever crap, and they continue to support it for years to come.
@@Mako-se8ujI completely agree. I’m in the same boat as you, lifelong fan, passed on it because of all the reviews, and one week in I’m 30 hours deep. I love this game. I only wish there were no load screens between landing on the planets and space travel.
Some of the most beautiful and peaceful music I ever heard in the game, and this is a skyrim and fallout 4 player talking. Starfield is what I been waiting for, what WE been waiting for forever. Sure there are some great games out there Mass Effect 1,2, and 3 but this is the game for me. Nice work putting this together sir, I tip my hat to you! If I wore hats xD
Not that it's a huge detail, but I'm just now noticing the side lights just behind the cockpit - the red light on port side and green light on starboard (note I had to look up which side went on which 😬).
I usually turn the music off in games (I like to have Spotify running in the background on my Xbox so I can play music I like instead). I do love the vibes while flying in space though, so maybe I'll turn it on every now and again 😂

Been waiting for one of these. If the auto rotate can be turned off for the camera, these will be incredible
Zur did such a good job with this soundtrack, man. Can't wait to see what he does with Elder Scrolls (assuming he really is the one doing it)
A longer version with the music lower than the ambience would be great!
