This video is literally not long enough lol. Im so happy that this vid exists. Since Disgaea 1 I have had to figure this stuff out over time by spending hours on gamefaqs... oh how times have changed. Looking forward to future videos and rewatching the ones that are already out.
Disgaea 5 added SO many functions it was crazy, I kinda like that they have removed some of the functions but I don't like the auto fight function. So many of these game are talking about leaving auto fight for 2 months to max out your stats. Ummm what. But it seems like they have over simplified the game too. I haven't played this yet but I have very mixed feelings from what I'm hearing.
I'm going to buy it but with my mixed feelings I'm waiting for a sale. I went from Disgaea 2 to Disgaea 5, I was overwhelmed by the features but it gave me lots to explore. I did not enjoy the story. Later they released Disgaea 4 on Steam a more solid story with like one less feature and enjoyed it more. Still waiting on Disgaea 3.
Maybe I’m missing something but if you’ve just unlocked carnage mode and your characters are level 9999, the max karma from the d merits cap at 10 million but you mention having 16 million to spend on reincarnation. I’m also puzzled about how you can causally say to enhance the mages elemental burst to level 9999. When I was following along, the most I was able to enhance was up to level 278, woefully short of maxing out.
For keeping your witch alive in Carnage V, just throw your witch back into the starting gate... She is removed from the stage and is safe. Your character left in the map will die and you bring the witch out next turn... Wash rinse repeat!
Primal, the Dimensional Signpost stages are specifically for unlocking the DLC characters - they don't have anything to do with postgame content. When you first start up postgame, there will be a bill you need to pass - something along the lines of 'Accept the Overlord's Challenge'. That'll open up an 8-stage chapter that unlocks Laharl, Etna and Flonne - however, all of those 8 stages are one-time only (which is probably why you're forgetting about it). The bill to unlock Carnage mode is available, I believe, after completing that.
The way I completed carnage 5 was with a war lady that has 100 poison and paralyze chance from innocents I got from research and breeding. Just full strike and wait. The boss dragon won't take damage from poison, but you only ever really have to fight that one enemy. This also let me clear many other trials and even rakshasa maps with extreme ease without even being close to powerful enough to actually do any direct damage to them. For enemies that I had no real chance of hitting, I just used another war lady with the gunner evility to set up a 100% chance to hit with follow up attacks.
Thank you for this! My mage couldn't one shot them or stay alive, so I used this in combination with the method in the video. using the status inflict innocents with the Gunner's Assist evility on two War Maidens basically kept the bosses frozen while my mage went around safely killing them (and melodia's skill to make her act twice per turn). I would have never thought to use the gunner's skill without this comment - it's the one thing i was missing to hit them with the statuses guaranteed.
Hawk Eye is a good evility to give to your galaxy mage too. 100% chance to hit if attacking from three panels away. Helps with higher level units if your hit can’t keep up.
So just a recommendation, if you have valvatorez you can use one of his evilties called Prinny Instructor. Give your lvling team the evility then put them in the Prinny Squad so you are considered a Prinny. Prinny Instructor stacks but doesn't affect yourself. Thats a 900% exp boost.
Ive been using the witch polpol from the hololive collab dlc due to her being able to learn all of her elemental spells without having to do unnecessary reincarnations.
Go to Bell Blessing and use the witch to kill everything, repeat until you have 2000 of every stat... Witch wasn't able to kill them, rest of guide seemed predicated on that so it didn't help
Late to discussion but: exp boosting evilities are additive to statician and each other, if you have a good innocent bonus, you are far better off using the slots for damage and stat boosts. I personally hold "winning is justice" and "taste of victory" as the premier choice for grinding a leveling stage. (Aquired from chapter 4, and super reincarnation)
Right at the start, you said that you need to max out elemental burst on an witch... But with what mana? You don't have that many mana right after post game, so what do you do then? x)
The enemies can't be put to sleep, charmed, or given amnesia (vaccine to all 3). The enemies can't be hurt by poison either, only actual attacks can damage them (they have "Can't Fool Me evility which means no lifting and nullify damage from all sources except attacks). It's still doable with your method, but you only really need paralysis. I put magic collection and a bunch of damage boosts (I also put lengthen ailment on, gave a bit of breathing room) on my war lady and maxed her SP then just kept blasting them until only 1 enemy was left. Then when they got close I just brought out my witch and used Elemental Burst.
Have you considered/tried using prinny hats on your main charcters and instructor in a 20 person squad. extra 1k% if it works. I haven't tried it yet though
The whole (use juice bar 200 times) trick basically let me sidestep the Laharl battles (difficulty wise, I could simply auto battle them). I only used 5 characters with stats in the 130 range. Could have gone higher, and used more characters, but I wanted to give them a semblance of a chance xD
hi dude, correct me if im wrong, for farming exp at Bell of Blessing, use the exp evilities (13:03) for witch and the other 9 characters, and damage evilities (21:28) is for Carnage 1-5?
Bear in mind that for "Normal" Game the max EXP that all 10 players can receive is 2B. then 2T exp per player in "Carnage" Mode, and all the extra exp evilites are for "Recsasha" Mode.. In the last mode I think the EXP cap per player is 2Q. (I don't know yet bacause I am not quite there yet)
Where's the best place to grind BEFORE attempting Carnage-level Bell of Blessing? I've just been working on Rich Man's Plaza until I can get the 500's on reincarnation.
A question about the killers. I understand the reason you use generics is that they can be prinnies for the etna evility boost and be in the squad that gives 100% to normal attacks. But would Zed be similar as he gets 200% damage increase and can be in the prinny squad?
I don't think so, because they abuse "Sumo Wrestler" unique evility on many pieces of gear during the Baal fight. Like everybody except the prinnies has as many Sumo Wrestlers as they can to max out the damage of the prinnies (Primal Liquid said he was able to pass with just six, but I've heard of people using 20). It won't work for Zed since he is not a monster type (I think Usalia and Desco are the only unique characters that are monster types). Zed gets up to an extra 200% damage dealt, and you can do that for multiple prinninies with 10 Sumo Wrestlers, imagine if you had 20.
I just did Carnage V at 0 stars and the enemies were only level 5,000,000. They couldn't hit my Witch. I went in with Poison Vaccine and Charm Vaccine.. Easily auto battled the stage.
took me a while to be able to kill my own ally but u just do advance settings in DI to let it happen. amazing video! cant wait what u do with disgaea 7!

That's easy to fix thankfully. Gunner skill Hawkeye guarantees a hit from more than 3 spaces, then use Assist unique evility to make combod hits guaranteed. I can kill all three carnage basls with this, but can't kill the lobsters... The witch doesn't even come close to hurting them at all lol baffled
I apologize for asking for this, but when I beat Rakshasa Dimension V, I got like 5 or 6 blank notifications. I do not know what they are... What exactly did I unlock from completing Rakshasa? I can assume 2 of them are from Super Reincarnating with even more stats, but what about the others?
Love the video(s)! Only question I have is where you mention Trapezohedron being stealable from Item God 2 at Arcadia Floor 100. I've been in and out of this item a dozen times at this floor and haven't seen a Trap once. It's always another Arcadia. Are you certain of this?
yes, the item needs to be level 80+ though and it is only stealable on your first visit to floor 100. any time after that in the same item the IG2 is replaced by just a normal Item God. that is likely why your only seeing arcadia.
You can also get a Trap from killing ANY item god 2 by getting it through a character's D-Merit. The character that killed it will have the D-Merit unlocked.
concerning experience gain, it's a minor difference in semantics but it can make a major difference in play, exp doesn't just go to everyone who participated in the fight period, it specifically goes to whoever was considered dispatched to the map when the fight ends, regardless of how long they were on the map or if they contributed anything to the fight, hell, even if they failed to SURVIVE the fight, they are still considered dispatched (actually, specifically the second ally to die gets double xp, if at least two allies died in the fight). and characters are *removed* from the "dispatched" category when returning to the base panel by ANY method (walk in and thrown in tend to be obvious, zombie revival evility, I'm calling you out right here, you revive inside the base panel and therefore do NOT count as dispatched any longer, at least until that character returns to the map, IF they return to the map)
what are you even on about? when did i ever even say to use zombie revival while exp grinding? like you can call me out all you want, but atleast call me out on something i actually say
So I have a glaring issue with the whole "War Lady" and "Elemental Burst" strats. that is, my SP just is annihilated, mana collection doesn't help at all.
Ele burst mage is much better at earlier levels since at like level 40m-50m or earlier you might start not doing enough damage to fill up all of your sp with Magic Collection, but is still insanely op for one shotting basically anything (from my experience). For War Lady, just level Full Strike up to the point that you can regen enough sp to recast with Magic Collection. A fix I have for this is to give her the evility Corpse Cannibal, which regens 10% HP/SP per kill and is fantastic for going deep in the Item World. There's also Mana Charge, which recovers 3% SP per targeted units if you really need it.
10 minutes into the guide and it already feels completely insane. Just getting a galaxy mage with a lv9999 elemental burst seems like it would take 100 hours of auto-battling...
My only problem is if I take the karma from the 255 juice bar it says I exceed my limit even tho my characters have all been 9999 and my problem is hitting 9,999,999 because without exceeding the limit and therefore losing karma I need to finish that dmerit but the only level I can actually do right now that gives exp is 14-5 20* I tried to do it in 0* Carnage and I'm no where near strong enough so what do you suggest I do?
@@gioloperez 5 mostly because you have more variety, but 6 is much more easiee to handle the grind. As well you don't have a god damn boad game you have to often rush throught.
@@Jrpg_guy interesting.. Im halfway through 6 and I feel like i prefer the previous titles because of the fact that they removed weapon skills and I can't make weird, hybrid characters anymore.. not sure if my opinion will change once im on the postgame.
Something worth considering before the witch hits absolute max level for the first time and you're grinding Peaceful World 5 on Rakshasa 0. Even at the 70 million stage, my witch is unable to kill every God of Destruction with Elemental Burst. Because the SP levels are so high, she doesn't recover all of it by the third enemy and so it's less effective. Now, she's still more than powerful enough to beat the rest with counter attacks... USUALLY. But not 100% of the time. Strange, right? She can be overwhelmed or even charmed into turning on the others! Also, my War Lady is lagging behind the others in terms of level gain and I don't know why... 🤔
As far as the War Lady goes, my best guess would be that she's new and hasn't earned the D-Merits for gaining class ranks. Those grant big experience boosts, and you can see how much of a difference it makes on the results screen after a fight. I just created one last night, and at first I was puzzled as to why she was only getting around 1/3 as much experience as everyone else.
1. Which of the unique characters (DLC included) are worth levelling? From your video: Zed, Mao, Majolene, Bieko 2. Also, should i go for the hololive characters or their counterparts? i.e. Polpol or galaxy mage? 3. What’s with the Prinny being good for damage? I think i missed that on your other videos. 😅
Personally, i like to max all uniques (might not this time because of how tedious the process is) for DLC though Desco, Valvatorez, Usalia and Mao are amazing to max, the others have awesome evilities though which are a god send for different things. none dlc i suggest beiko 100% shes op, same with marjolene you need her for all the stupid high damage shenanigans, zed is nice because of his evility for every damage based on reincarnation. melodia is good and rozalin has a nice support evility

I bought the dlc season pass, but for some reason I'm unable to receive desco, valvatorez and usalia. Am I doing something wrong, or something? Cuz I don't know how you know how good they are if I can't even get them.
Im already 2,000 on all basic stats, i have all ''Extreme -- Guy'' evilities, and use Overlords Guard when im leveling to 99,999,999. But i cant get 999,999,999,999 stats, what im doing wrong ? i only get 811,300,000,000 stats . Pls help. Char: Zed, Gear: None, Class: All Mastered
SP note regarding the witch. I'm not sure, but I regret putting points my witch's SP. I had been using her to go through Rak IW with Elemental Burst and at some point, her damage * 5% fell lower than the maximum amount I had. I ended up doing less damage with each successive burst until I noticed I was stuck in Auto-Battle doing 0 damage.

As someone who knows nothing of Disgaea and barely finished the postlude, how long would postgame (all the grind and stuff) would take? I see Primalliquid had around 600 hours. Something like this?
I wasn't able to do the back to square one at 14-5 method at all. Part of the problem might have been that I never bothered to use my witch during my playthrough.
Quick question for anyone who might know, I blitzed the set of levels you fight Laharl and company in super early post-game (Battlegrounds I think it's called) and wasn't aware losing those levels apparently gets you some alternate endings. Is there a way I can redo those levels to unlock the endings or do I have to play through the entire game again from scratch?
I assume you have to go through the game again. Shouldn't take long at all though. My advice is to stick to post game until you have a war lady that can handle carnage stages, then go back through the story with the war lady cheesing every stage on normal for fastest clearing. I constantly have to run through the story in every disgaea bc I'll forget or miss things here and there. I figure if I'm gonna be a completionist, I might as well focus on grinding and endgame before I deal with the little things. Makes it faster and easier
How do you go back through the story in this game? I may just be being stupid but I can't find an NPC or option that takes me back in time so to speak. I remember in Disgaea 5 there was an NPC dedicated to doing it. In earlier Disgaea games it was a NG+ mechanic. How does this game handle it? yea, elemental burst is nice, but once your SP gets so high you simply have no way to restore it all, and prinnies get MEGA op later by abusing a few tricks, they are much much MUCH stronger than a witch
For some reason my war lady isn’t doing enough damage to kill anything in Raksasha mode or even just enough to regen mana. Full strike is maxed, her capability is all at 2000 and her stats are at the limit before the final limit break from clearing Raksasha 5. What do I do to get her to do more damage?
stop using war lady until you get her to over 10 trillion attack, Rakshasa mode pretty much requires combo maker strats instead of full strike. you only go back to fullstrike when your MEGA broken
Quick question for anyone who might know, do item God's still have ridiculous items and accessories like in Disgaea 1? And do the spawn ever 100 floors like they used to? Trying to decide if I want to do item world...
the max is what you can SAVE, in other words you can go over the max but anything you dont spend in that reincarnation is lost. so with your max being 10m you would lose 6.5 if you dont spend it. and thats why you dont accept the last dmerit for 10 million until after you spend the previous 6.5
Might be a somewhat stupid question, but do you have any stage you can recommend for the "Kill X amount of enemies" D-Merit? Ive been running Itemworld but it still is excrutiatingly slow.
Actually, you don't need to level any item to beat the Carnage maps. I did it simply by using 4 lv 5M characters that I levelled whith the Overlord's Guard squad and with groth rate boosting Evilities.
Something I think I need to mention but I don't think completting the dlc characters unlocks carnage mode. I believe that's done by completing the postlude, which unlocks Laharal, Flonne and Etna.

what evilites should I be using when I'm leveling characters in the overlord guard squad? I know the guy series of evilities gives better stat growth but you cant put all the ultimate's on them just not enough cost since each is worth 5 slots, should I be lowering it to Intense instead to get all of them?

you mean the hololive dlc? would work the same, its only a different character skin everything else is the same except that you cant reincarnate into different generics so i would suggest sticking with a normal mage
You mention to focus INT on the mage, but elemental burst shows ATK as its primary stat... Am I missing something? Wouldn't you want to focus ATK to increase elemental burst dmg?
Watch out with the witch...! after getting too high in level she isn't regenerating enough SP anymore. Same stage, same cirumstances, same strong enemies but the witch leveled up some million levels the run before. BOOM. Losing SP every single attack. Able to kill 3 Gods after that the damages wasn't enough anymore and the gods killed the witch. Tried this lots of times and with sooo many different scenarios, stat boosts, level ups etc. So it was really tough for me, killing all the gods at max level at carnage.... stuck on Stars 2 or so until I figured it seems to have to do with too many max SP on character... cause since I were using Tast of Victory and boosting the witches stats by a near double amount that time I suddenly did not only do enough damage to clear the stage at some stars higher but was also regenerating all SP again... still using that same witch in that exact configuration after finding a sweet spot to get max level Gods down (Stars 8 or so) for max XP on that map. Seems like the game can't keep up to the extreme high SP later in comparison to INT. Getting more INT (And/or Damage) did the trick... but still, when levleing too high, SP will slowly drain yet doing even more damage. And sad me was getting bonus points on SP after INT and HIT cause... felt the right thing, somehow...
@@Primalliquid92 I see... but there is another weird thing I encountered since my post... Since I don't have Mao (yet... seems like I have to get him, to get the most out of it...) I was using the witch, as said. I was at around 8000T of EXP acquired at 8 stars raksasha (it really doesn't matter if 8 oder 20 stars. The XP seem to scale with enemy level not stats) therefore getting my reincarnated unit to arround level 85.000.000 at one fight with only having XP bonus evilities at 200% + ~70 by SR Volunteer (My witches reincarnation rate was aroung 37 that time) so yeah roughly 270% XP bonus on my killer. I started thinking of using another unit as well for XP... so I changed to my main char (Ninja like in most disgaea games I've played. Used him alone to clean raksasha V by the way even without total grinding to your method and using aliements or somethin. Just max stats and some good evilities, was a tough call but on the third run I did it... such a relieve now) and I went over, giving him enoug XP bonuses to be at 430%. So nearly doubling that one of the witch. Crazy good I thought! All the rest of the setup remained exactly untouched. But now I am only able to manage getting at 6097T XP in total to around level 77.000.000! I've tried and changed some XP evilities, experimenting for 2 hours. Maybe there was a cap of bonus XP that, when passed, will decrease your overall XP but doesn't seemed so. Like you would expect it was getting lower when getting lower bonuses. I can't explain why this is... Oh and... on top of that... after reincarnating my witch some times to get the max out of ST Volunteer and continue to use here, since 8000T > 6000T I am only getting ~6000T with her now, too. (same setup as before, just that she reincarnated to 44 times total. The only possibility and connection I see is, that the more you reincarnate, the less XP you gather since my Ninja had a lot more reincarnations to begin with. Ah... I see... I still have the save data from before... and yes.. indeed my witch is collecting a total of 8702 XP here... with my Ninja reaching 8.500.000... with just an XP bonus of arround 200% even! Guess I'll check my later save again and getting back to this low bonus config to test...
Ok... done that last point... now even only getting 5500T XP ... The only thing that changed over that old save is, higher level and stats of my witch and more reincarnations. (and some more reincarnations on my other chars of course but that hardly does anything... I ... guess...) Has to be a but or something... this in mind... getting Mao may also not do the trick for me. I highly doubt that a theoretical 125% of added bonus XP will rise the 6000T to your number... since I did a lot more in may save now with no effect...

So I did this as a last resort and still getting the very same numbers of ~6000T XP and lvl ~77.000.000 Well.. that sucks... By the way... after finishing raksasha V did you get empty textboxes as well? Guess there should have been the informations for the last things I unlocked but just black everything... my save maybe is corrupt since then...
Is there a step missing? I did the juice bar method, got my witch to maxed out hit and int (well 500) and... I still miss the gods of destruction and die in a single attack I feel like I'm doing something wrong and the 'oh just casually get 9999 on the skill seems impossible when like, I can barely get it to 700
Getting it up to like 3 or 4k will do sooo much more damage. What I did early on was just grind the lucky board map on episode 5 (i forgot which one but i think it was called royal chambers II or something like that) and set the mana gain to the max in the cheat shop. After a 1 hour or so I just passed the hog all mana bill on my witch which would take all the mana on all my units. You should have enough by then to level up the skill by quite a lot.
Completely baffled how you say to go to grinding peaceful world as soon as you unlock carnage and tossing the idea of doing it on carnage later. That's like saying, "Find yourself some granite, then next thing you know, you'll have a nuke!" if We're 9,999 What are we supposed to do to go from 9,999 to being high enough to fight the lvl 2 million gods of destruction which is what they are at 0 star carnage....? lol
Is it weird that I can beat 14-5 Raksahsa with no stars with my Galaxy Mage's regular ATK than with a fully maxed out Elemental Burst? Unless I have full SP, it barely damages the enemies. 🤔 My INT is higher than my ATK.
The stats that govern non-healing abilities depend on the weapon you have equipped. If you have fists or no weapon at all (which is functionally a fist weapon), it will be ATK/SPD. If you have a staff, it will be INT.
@@GarlyleWilds I have a staff equipped on my mage and it shows attack/speed. EDIT: Though it only shows it like that out side of battle. In battle when I select it, it shows int. Kinda buggy I guess.

it was the postgame stages i was on about, i just selected the DLC stages by mistake, and no you dont need to do Martial dimension to unlock carnage mode

I got about 35 minutes in before I went numb. This might be the nuttiest post-game in all of Disgaea. Thank you for sharing your methods.

The way I completed carnage 5 was with a war lady that has 100 poison and paralyze chance from innocents I got from research and breeding. Just full strike and wait. The boss dragon won't take damage from poison, but you only ever really have to fight that one enemy. This also let me clear many other trials and even rakshasa maps with extreme ease without even being close to powerful enough to actually do any direct damage to them. For enemies that I had no real chance of hitting, I just used another war lady with the gunner evility to set up a 100% chance to hit with follow up attacks.
Thank you for this! My mage couldn't one shot them or stay alive, so I used this in combination with the method in the video. using the status inflict innocents with the Gunner's Assist evility on two War Maidens basically kept the bosses frozen while my mage went around safely killing them (and melodia's skill to make her act twice per turn). I would have never thought to use the gunner's skill without this comment - it's the one thing i was missing to hit them with the statuses guaranteed.

Hawk Eye is a good evility to give to your galaxy mage too. 100% chance to hit if attacking from three panels away. Helps with higher level units if your hit can’t keep up.
Does this work with Elemental Burst?
So just a recommendation, if you have valvatorez you can use one of his evilties called Prinny Instructor. Give your lvling team the evility then put them in the Prinny Squad so you are considered a Prinny. Prinny Instructor stacks but doesn't affect yourself. Thats a 900% exp boost.
Combine that with Pleinair's Voracious Spirit evility for more EXP and Mana. Getting to lv9999 takes several minutes with that setup.
Ive been using the witch polpol from the hololive collab dlc due to her being able to learn all of her elemental spells without having to do unnecessary reincarnations.

Late to discussion but: exp boosting evilities are additive to statician and each other, if you have a good innocent bonus, you are far better off using the slots for damage and stat boosts. I personally hold "winning is justice" and "taste of victory" as the premier choice for grinding a leveling stage. (Aquired from chapter 4, and super reincarnation)

Right at the start, you said that you need to max out elemental burst on an witch... But with what mana? You don't have that many mana right after post game, so what do you do then? x)
The enemies can't be put to sleep, charmed, or given amnesia (vaccine to all 3). The enemies can't be hurt by poison either, only actual attacks can damage them (they have "Can't Fool Me evility which means no lifting and nullify damage from all sources except attacks). It's still doable with your method, but you only really need paralysis. I put magic collection and a bunch of damage boosts (I also put lengthen ailment on, gave a bit of breathing room) on my war lady and maxed her SP then just kept blasting them until only 1 enemy was left. Then when they got close I just brought out my witch and used Elemental Burst.
Have you considered/tried using prinny hats on your main charcters and instructor in a 20 person squad. extra 1k% if it works. I haven't tried it yet though

The whole (use juice bar 200 times) trick basically let me sidestep the Laharl battles (difficulty wise, I could simply auto battle them). I only used 5 characters with stats in the 130 range. Could have gone higher, and used more characters, but I wanted to give them a semblance of a chance xD

hi dude, correct me if im wrong, for farming exp at Bell of Blessing, use the exp evilities (13:03) for witch and the other 9 characters, and damage evilities (21:28) is for Carnage 1-5?
Bear in mind that for "Normal" Game the max EXP that all 10 players can receive is 2B. then 2T exp per player in "Carnage" Mode, and all the extra exp evilites are for "Recsasha" Mode.. In the last mode I think the EXP cap per player is 2Q. (I don't know yet bacause I am not quite there yet)
Where's the best place to grind BEFORE attempting Carnage-level Bell of Blessing? I've just been working on Rich Man's Plaza until I can get the 500's on reincarnation.
A question about the killers. I understand the reason you use generics is that they can be prinnies for the etna evility boost and be in the squad that gives 100% to normal attacks. But would Zed be similar as he gets 200% damage increase and can be in the prinny squad?
I don't think so, because they abuse "Sumo Wrestler" unique evility on many pieces of gear during the Baal fight. Like everybody except the prinnies has as many Sumo Wrestlers as they can to max out the damage of the prinnies (Primal Liquid said he was able to pass with just six, but I've heard of people using 20). It won't work for Zed since he is not a monster type (I think Usalia and Desco are the only unique characters that are monster types). Zed gets up to an extra 200% damage dealt, and you can do that for multiple prinninies with 10 Sumo Wrestlers, imagine if you had 20.

I just did Carnage V at 0 stars and the enemies were only level 5,000,000. They couldn't hit my Witch. I went in with Poison Vaccine and Charm Vaccine.. Easily auto battled the stage.

I am trying this method, and my witch can’t hit or damage the gods of destruction. I got the stats to 500 and Elemental Burst is 9999.
That's easy to fix thankfully. Gunner skill Hawkeye guarantees a hit from more than 3 spaces, then use Assist unique evility to make combod hits guaranteed. I can kill all three carnage basls with this, but can't kill the lobsters... The witch doesn't even come close to hurting them at all lol baffled

Love the video(s)! Only question I have is where you mention Trapezohedron being stealable from Item God 2 at Arcadia Floor 100. I've been in and out of this item a dozen times at this floor and haven't seen a Trap once. It's always another Arcadia.

yes, the item needs to be level 80+ though and it is only stealable on your first visit to floor 100. any time after that in the same item the IG2 is replaced by just a normal Item God. that is likely why your only seeing arcadia.

You can also get a Trap from killing ANY item god 2 by getting it through a character's D-Merit. The character that killed it will have the D-Merit unlocked.

concerning experience gain, it's a minor difference in semantics but it can make a major difference in play, exp doesn't just go to everyone who participated in the fight period, it specifically goes to whoever was considered dispatched to the map when the fight ends, regardless of how long they were on the map or if they contributed anything to the fight, hell, even if they failed to SURVIVE the fight, they are still considered dispatched (actually, specifically the second ally to die gets double xp, if at least two allies died in the fight). and characters are *removed* from the "dispatched" category when returning to the base panel by ANY method (walk in and thrown in tend to be obvious, zombie revival evility, I'm calling you out right here, you revive inside the base panel and therefore do NOT count as dispatched any longer, at least until that character returns to the map, IF they return to the map)
what are you even on about? when did i ever even say to use zombie revival while exp grinding? like you can call me out all you want, but atleast call me out on something i actually say
Btw, the enemies in Raksasha 5 are immune to charm, amnesia and sleep unfortunately, so you have to get lucky with the paralysis
the main one anyway is poison since it takes 4 turns for them to get to attacking range from the back
So I have a glaring issue with the whole "War Lady" and "Elemental Burst" strats. that is, my SP just is annihilated, mana collection doesn't help at all.
Ele burst mage is much better at earlier levels since at like level 40m-50m or earlier you might start not doing enough damage to fill up all of your sp with Magic Collection, but is still insanely op for one shotting basically anything (from my experience).
For War Lady, just level Full Strike up to the point that you can regen enough sp to recast with Magic Collection. A fix I have for this is to give her the evility Corpse Cannibal, which regens 10% HP/SP per kill and is fantastic for going deep in the Item World. There's also Mana Charge, which recovers 3% SP per targeted units if you really need it.
Also, for the mage, you can also get Bieko's Star Shield evility to reduce max SP since Elemental Burst scales with the percentage.
10 minutes into the guide and it already feels completely insane. Just getting a galaxy mage with a lv9999 elemental burst seems like it would take 100 hours of auto-battling...
My only problem is if I take the karma from the 255 juice bar it says I exceed my limit even tho my characters have all been 9999 and my problem is hitting 9,999,999 because without exceeding the limit and therefore losing karma I need to finish that dmerit but the only level I can actually do right now that gives exp is 14-5 20* I tried to do it in 0* Carnage and I'm no where near strong enough so what do you suggest I do?
14:14 how come you don’t use SR training for whiz and lover? ( after reincarnations maxed out ). Just wanted to make sure
if your reincarnation is maxed then yes, use it. mine for Mao is not maxed though and so the 30% from the evilities is better than SR for me

@@gioloperez 5 mostly because you have more variety, but 6 is much more easiee to handle the grind. As well you don't have a god damn boad game you have to often rush throught.

Something worth considering before the witch hits absolute max level for the first time and you're grinding Peaceful World 5 on Rakshasa 0. Even at the 70 million stage, my witch is unable to kill every God of Destruction with Elemental Burst. Because the SP levels are so high, she doesn't recover all of it by the third enemy and so it's less effective. Now, she's still more than powerful enough to beat the rest with counter attacks... USUALLY. But not 100% of the time. Strange, right?
She can be overwhelmed or even charmed into turning on the others! Also, my War Lady is lagging behind the others in terms of level gain and I don't know why... 🤔
As far as the War Lady goes, my best guess would be that she's new and hasn't earned the D-Merits for gaining class ranks. Those grant big experience boosts, and you can see how much of a difference it makes on the results screen after a fight.
I just created one last night, and at first I was puzzled as to why she was only getting around 1/3 as much experience as everyone else.

Personally, i like to max all uniques (might not this time because of how tedious the process is) for DLC though Desco, Valvatorez, Usalia and Mao are amazing to max, the others have awesome evilities though which are a god send for different things.
none dlc i suggest beiko 100% shes op, same with marjolene you need her for all the stupid high damage shenanigans, zed is nice because of his evility for every damage based on reincarnation. melodia is good and rozalin has a nice support evility

SP note regarding the witch. I'm not sure, but I regret putting points my witch's SP. I had been using her to go through Rak IW with Elemental Burst and at some point, her damage * 5% fell lower than the maximum amount I had. I ended up doing less damage with each successive burst until I noticed I was stuck in Auto-Battle doing 0 damage.
because you ran out of SP, as mentioned in the video its based on percentage. the lower the witches MAX SP the better

im over 1500 hours now pretty easily, maybe even 2000 but the game stops tracking after 999
I wasn't able to do the back to square one at 14-5 method at all. Part of the problem might have been that I never bothered to use my witch during my playthrough.
you can still do the 14-5 method, just do it on normal at first to build a witch up

Quick question for anyone who might know, I blitzed the set of levels you fight Laharl and company in super early post-game (Battlegrounds I think it's called) and wasn't aware losing those levels apparently gets you some alternate endings. Is there a way I can redo those levels to unlock the endings or do I have to play through the entire game again from scratch?
I assume you have to go through the game again. Shouldn't take long at all though. My advice is to stick to post game until you have a war lady that can handle carnage stages, then go back through the story with the war lady cheesing every stage on normal for fastest clearing.
I constantly have to run through the story in every disgaea bc I'll forget or miss things here and there. I figure if I'm gonna be a completionist, I might as well focus on grinding and endgame before I deal with the little things. Makes it faster and easier
How do you go back through the story in this game? I may just be being stupid but I can't find an NPC or option that takes me back in time so to speak.
I remember in Disgaea 5 there was an NPC dedicated to doing it. In earlier Disgaea games it was a NG+ mechanic. How does this game handle it?

yea, elemental burst is nice, but once your SP gets so high you simply have no way to restore it all, and prinnies get MEGA op later by abusing a few tricks, they are much much MUCH stronger than a witch

For some reason my war lady isn’t doing enough damage to kill anything in Raksasha mode or even just enough to regen mana. Full strike is maxed, her capability is all at 2000 and her stats are at the limit before the final limit break from clearing Raksasha 5. What do I do to get her to do more damage?
stop using war lady until you get her to over 10 trillion attack, Rakshasa mode pretty much requires combo maker strats instead of full strike. you only go back to fullstrike when your MEGA broken

At 5:37 you say "so you have 16,500,000 karma", but at this point the max karma is only 10,000,000 right? Or am I missing something?
the max is what you can SAVE, in other words you can go over the max but anything you dont spend in that reincarnation is lost. so with your max being 10m you would lose 6.5 if you dont spend it. and thats why you dont accept the last dmerit for 10 million until after you spend the previous 6.5
Might be a somewhat stupid question, but do you have any stage you can recommend for the "Kill X amount of enemies" D-Merit? Ive been running Itemworld but it still is excrutiatingly slow.

Actually, you don't need to level any item to beat the Carnage maps. I did it simply by using 4 lv 5M characters that I levelled whith the Overlord's Guard squad and with groth rate boosting Evilities.
Something I think I need to mention but I don't think completting the dlc characters unlocks carnage mode. I believe that's done by completing the postlude, which unlocks Laharal, Flonne and Etna.

How many times do I level the witch with the stat boost evilties before swapping over to the DPS ones? I have 500% in all my stats
what evilites should I be using when I'm leveling characters in the overlord guard squad? I know the guy series of evilities gives better stat growth but you cant put all the ultimate's on them just not enough cost since each is worth 5 slots, should I be lowering it to Intense instead to get all of them?

you mean the hololive dlc? would work the same, its only a different character skin everything else is the same except that you cant reincarnate into different generics so i would suggest sticking with a normal mage
You mention to focus INT on the mage, but elemental burst shows ATK as its primary stat... Am I missing something? Wouldn't you want to focus ATK to increase elemental burst dmg?
Elemental burst will change its damage scaling depending on the weapon you have equipped

Watch out with the witch...! after getting too high in level she isn't regenerating enough SP anymore. Same stage, same cirumstances, same strong enemies but the witch leveled up some million levels the run before. BOOM. Losing SP every single attack. Able to kill 3 Gods after that the damages wasn't enough anymore and the gods killed the witch.
Tried this lots of times and with sooo many different scenarios, stat boosts, level ups etc.
So it was really tough for me, killing all the gods at max level at carnage.... stuck on Stars 2 or so until I figured it seems to have to do with too many max SP on character... cause since I were using Tast of Victory and boosting the witches stats by a near double amount that time I suddenly did not only do enough damage to clear the stage at some stars higher but was also regenerating all SP again... still using that same witch in that exact configuration after finding a sweet spot to get max level Gods down (Stars 8 or so) for max XP on that map.
Seems like the game can't keep up to the extreme high SP later in comparison to INT. Getting more INT (And/or Damage) did the trick... but still, when levleing too high, SP will slowly drain yet doing even more damage. And sad me was getting bonus points on SP after INT and HIT cause... felt the right thing, somehow...
this is why theres the change over to combo maker, Witch and elemental burst falls off very hard very fast in rakshasa

Since I don't have Mao (yet... seems like I have to get him, to get the most out of it...) I was using the witch, as said.
I was at around 8000T of EXP acquired at 8 stars raksasha (it really doesn't matter if 8 oder 20 stars. The XP seem to scale with enemy level not stats) therefore getting my reincarnated unit to arround level 85.000.000 at one fight with only having XP bonus evilities at 200% + ~70 by SR Volunteer (My witches reincarnation rate was aroung 37 that time) so yeah roughly 270% XP bonus on my killer.
I started thinking of using another unit as well for XP... so I changed to my main char (Ninja like in most disgaea games I've played. Used him alone to clean raksasha V by the way even without total grinding to your method and using aliements or somethin. Just max stats and some good evilities, was a tough call but on the third run I did it... such a relieve now) and I went over, giving him enoug XP bonuses to be at 430%. So nearly doubling that one of the witch.

All the rest of the setup remained exactly untouched. But now I am only able to manage getting at 6097T XP in total to around level 77.000.000!
I've tried and changed some XP evilities, experimenting for 2 hours. Maybe there was a cap of bonus XP that, when passed, will decrease your overall XP but doesn't seemed so. Like you would expect it was getting lower when getting lower bonuses. I can't explain why this is...
Oh and... on top of that... after reincarnating my witch some times to get the max out of ST Volunteer and continue to use here, since 8000T > 6000T I am only getting ~6000T with her now, too. (same setup as before, just that she reincarnated to 44 times total.
The only possibility and connection I see is, that the more you reincarnate, the less XP you gather since my Ninja had a lot more reincarnations to begin with.
Ah... I see... I still have the save data from before... and yes.. indeed my witch is collecting a total of 8702 XP here... with my Ninja reaching 8.500.000... with just an XP bonus of arround 200% even!
Guess I'll check my later save again and getting back to this low bonus config to test...
Ok... done that last point... now even only getting 5500T XP ...
The only thing that changed over that old save is, higher level and stats of my witch and more reincarnations. (and some more reincarnations on my other chars of course but that hardly does anything... I ... guess...)
Has to be a but or something... this in mind... getting Mao may also not do the trick for me. I highly doubt that a theoretical 125% of added bonus XP will rise the 6000T to your number... since I did a lot more in may save now with no effect...

Getting it up to like 3 or 4k will do sooo much more damage. What I did early on was just grind the lucky board map on episode 5 (i forgot which one but i think it was called royal chambers II or something like that) and set the mana gain to the max in the cheat shop. After a 1 hour or so I just passed the hog all mana bill on my witch which would take all the mana on all my units. You should have enough by then to level up the skill by quite a lot.
just grind normal (non carnage ) bell of blessing until you get the mana to max it out.
Completely baffled how you say to go to grinding peaceful world as soon as you unlock carnage and tossing the idea of doing it on carnage later.
That's like saying, "Find yourself some granite, then next thing you know, you'll have a nuke!"

Is it weird that I can beat 14-5 Raksahsa with no stars with my Galaxy Mage's regular ATK than with a fully maxed out Elemental Burst? Unless I have full SP, it barely damages the enemies. 🤔 My INT is higher than my ATK.
Normal attack has a stupid amount of scaling but that's the craziest iv heard
The game shows that the witches elemental burst is attack/speed based, not int based. This a mistake?
The stats that govern non-healing abilities depend on the weapon you have equipped. If you have fists or no weapon at all (which is functionally a fist weapon), it will be ATK/SPD. If you have a staff, it will be INT.
@@GarlyleWilds I have a staff equipped on my mage and it shows attack/speed.
EDIT: Though it only shows it like that out side of battle. In battle when I select it, it shows int. Kinda buggy I guess.

hey wait what this is confusing. dont u unlock carnage by doing martial training. also dont you get laharl by the post game stage place. this is pure confusion
it was the postgame stages i was on about, i just selected the DLC stages by mistake, and no you dont need to do Martial dimension to unlock carnage mode

How do I unlock stat limit break? I’ve unlocked rakshasa mode and don’t have it unlocked
you need to complete Rakshasa 5 to remove the stat limit
