Kudos to the ref: at 7:16 he's sizing up how the player will get on the yellow, and at 8:44 he's already get ready to take off his glove for the handshake that follows a 147. Savage!

One of the hardest working guys in the sport, definitely one of those players who is just impossible to hate.
Hope he will get a title. He is humble and hardworking. Not an easy max, with many middle pockets.
A very high quality break with some really great pots made from awkward positions- especially all those reds to middle pockets!
How simply he made us look like it’s an easy 147 which at actual is not… brilliantly he played and attempted 147..

He is really a great player. Just need to find out within to win these titles.
He had to go the extra mile a few times to achieve this 147, but kept cool and gave us the pleasure to watch a great frame.

The 7th red for 49 is a beautiful shot also. To hit it that hard to stun and glance off the bunch, a lot could of gone wrong with that. Exquisite.
Played in a very mature way too - I think he may have played it at that pace to leave the pink if he wanted it for security (obviously 73 on 72 remaining after the red, but you'd expect the opponent to play for snookers).
Qualifying or not, now he'll at least tie if not win the full prize for the highest break of the world championship. I don't know what the prize is this year for it or for a max but it can't be too bad a pay day! Well deserved for such a dedicated and respectful player!
its 10k pounds for quali and 40k for crucible 147, combined with 15k for highest break.

Breaks in the qualifiers don't count in the world championship. The two are separate events even thought they are connected

I got a 147 yesterday... from Bridgeland Road to Jude Street.
I hope it was painted green. Could put six pockets in it,four in the corners and two on the sides,which could be handy for small luggage.

Beautiful - remarkable how many reds he sent into the side (middle) pockets and still got back on the 7 each time. Also remarkable how few times he used the cushion to get position - mostly he kept the White out away from the cushions.
