    I feel bad for Shey Peddy, but in NO WAY was that a flagrant foul. Horston went up to deflect the ball in the opposite direction. As she was coming down Shey Peddy moves into her. A very unfortunate accident, but Horston is already coming down as Peddy is coming towards her. Horrendous call. I understand the reason for the rule, but definitely a bad call her.

      I see where you are coming from, but at the games when they review for a flagrant foul, they put the defining characteristics of the two flagrant up on the Jumbotron for the audience to see/understand. And they state: "a foul extreme or so severe that the opposing player is in danger of serious injury" even when completely unintentional. By that standard, being hit hard in the neck/head as Shey was, and her rendered unconscious, does qualify as a Flagrant 1. This season we've seen hits to the head have been upgraded to flagrant 1 every time.
      *Edit for spelling

    • @darrylmelander6984
      @darrylmelander6984 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +11

      @@toxicginger9936 The foul itself doesn't look extreme or severe to me. The *outcome* may have been extreme or severe, but the *actions* were not. I'm nothing close to an expert on the rules, but my couch potato self wouldn't have called that foul flagrant, even with the definition you quoted.

Shay Paddy needs to always be aware of her surroundings. Don't get under taller players, giving them no room or few options. What was Horston supposed to do? Undercutting needs to be addressed in Women's Ball. Horston could've gotten hurt as well. Someone's going to have a bad injury from being undercut in Women's Ball. Few can jump, and the ones that can't...undercut and try to get offensive fouls. Hopefully Shay Paddy is ok... but Girl...chill

    Terrible announcers!

      Disagree. Announcers do great work and sometimes it can be very difficult,they get overwhelmed to the point of almost getting laryngitis. Before you go criticizing them,kindly think about this.What if you did what they do and someone called you a "terrible announcer?"You wouldn't like that either.

    No way they upgraded that call🤦🏽‍♂️ That’s bs! She trying to deflect the ball! A basketball move not intentionally hurt her! Refs are getting worse & worse!

      It wasn't intentional.

      It is most definitely not intentional. Horston is facing the other direction and is trying to deflect the ball. As her momentum is turning her body, Shey Peddy runs into her. You can see Horston as soon as she feels Peddy she pulls her arm back the instant she feels contact. She didn't realize Peddy was there, until Peddy ran into her. This was a horrendous call.

      Everything looks intentional on slowmo. She wasn’t even looking that way. You can tell by Jordan Horstons reaction both right after and when it was upgraded that it wasn’t intentional.

      @@evanechoes253 To be fair, Peddy didn't run into her, she was setting a pick and stationary when Horston ran into her. But yeah, it was definitely not intentional, cuz she never saw her her, and her reaction of pulling away does say it all when she instantly pulls back.
