People will definitely take advantage of you when you show them they can. I learned real quick, drop the time wasters and people that don't value your time. There's always more work and customers out there

100% !!! I've got a daily minimum....which I tell the customer from the jump. If they balk at my price, I just tell them it's non-negotiable and that they should find someone else to do the work if they are unable or unwilling to accept my fees. I have no problem telling a potential customer to go and pound sand. 9 times out of 10 those who balk at my prices are customers I don't want... let them become a problem for someone else :-)

Daily minimum is a must. Hard lesson to learn and takes way to long to learn. Wish someone would've told me that up front.

I need to be more comfortable with my prices and firm
I feel like I get the cheapest clients at times where they try to make me feel bad
I don't need clients like that
Note I'm just starting off but still they try to bargon prices with me
Maybe you can do a vid on how you get confident or going to a job what are things you do to get ready and feel like a boss or tips on talking to clients what are some do's and don't to say to a client
      Thanks Keith

I am learning day-by-day or video-after-video from you that you're in control of your destiny. You choose how and what you want your company to be, not the clients. Keep doing what you're doing brother! I look forward to your next video! You're motivation!

Hey Keith thanks for the video ive learned this the hard way in the when I first started my business I used to let people walk all over me and now I Stand My Ground when I price the job and they say it's too high or they can't afford it i never back down o say ok no problem if you change your mind let me know and then I move on I've lost jobs over this way but I kept my dignity I no longer I'm willing to take for scribes in fear that I won't get the job when I'm on I don't want to feel disgusted that I'm doing it next to nothing I no longer am willing to do that and just the first time I did still up for myself for smartened up my confidence and my respect went up enough to do it again and again sometimes you just got to learn things the hard way to actually get the lesson but I wouldn't have even been aware if it wasn't for your videos God bless!!

Keith, I've watched a ton of your videos. I was once that low end guy that would do anything to land a job. I completely understand what you are saying. Maybe others might need the break down as you are describing. But if they follow your videos there is no need to explain more. You have helped me turn my whole business and mindset around a few years ago and it has been the best advice I've ever gotten thus far.
I started with a ford bronco and a chainsaw. Now I'm blessed to have a bucket truck, 2 chip trucks, chipper, stump grinder, 37' knuckle boom truck and tons of other gear to get the job done. Great thanks to your inspiration.

Which is funny because I have actually had this done to me also when I was trying to hustle up some money. Working on the cheap and knowing you quoted the job wrong , just to make sure you get it.People do respond differently when you are firm on your price, it took along time to get it but, you feel a lot better going the job when you’re getting what you deserve!!!

I had a known Iocal business man called me over from a property I was working on next to his. He asked me for a quote on maintaining his yard. We agreed on a price. He proceeds to tell me about a guy who had a minimum wage job and he "gave a start" in the lawn business and how he has a lot of properties now and won't do his property. He asked me about the shrubs. I started figuring and he says, "I'll give you X amount to do this and this and this."
I looked at him and laughed.😆 Told him I wasn't the guy he gave a start and I didn't "Need" the work and I was a legitimate business owner with taxes, insurance and payroll just like he is. 🤔 I finished figuring, Doubled the price he threw at me, told him why and still got the job. 👍😏

I guess when you're successful people want to be a part and get their bit from you but I'm not interested in working for anyone I know. The problems it can create in your personal life. But now saying "no" is creating its own problems.
