This use to be a typical day for me, I gave up HGV driving about 5 years ago, there's no respect on UK roads, especially for HGV drivers
That building just outside Altrincham was Denzel Hospital, mum worked there back in the 80's on nights. She swore it's haunted by I think monks.
Scary looking place worth a look.

Some of these drivers are clueless Barry, they should spend a day with you to see what you have to deal with, driving standards have definitely dropped

I worked at Irlam depot for 4 long miserable years.
I used to work for UPS and I remember the driving mantra of "seeing the big picture" and "leave yourself an out " etc 😊

Some people can't see further than the end of their car's bonnet. No planning, no forethought just "I've got to get to where i want as quick as i can and sod the rest." Seems to be the attitude towards driving these days.

A company I drove a tipper for in Manchester we plained off those roads near where you delivered in Altrincham.I live in Castlebar County Mayo now since 2021 but I miss my hometown Manchester
The A56 between Manchester and Chester was one of the original Roman roads. So you followed the route probably taken by a few hundred centurions before you.
The Romans probably used the same route for their deliveries.. bet they had to be mindful of other horses and carts with drivers who didn’t have a clue? 😂

I was a 7.5 long back delivery driver got out every drop was crap stopped doing it because you drive up cul de sac do your stuff and someone always parks blocking any chance of getting out and they don't even live there they parked and gone to work

When you turned right on to the A56, the first house you pass on the left is 100 Manchester Road. I lived there when I was about 3.

Just a box standard long mobile phone holder, with the suction bit super glued on, and then long drawing pinned to the back wall for extra security strength
When you were driving out of Altrincham going towards M56 you would have passed Bowden footballers and tv stars live in that area
Anyone taking driving lessons, should ride a motorcycle and sit with a wagon driver for a day . .

There is too many fools on the road with no idea of spatial awareness. The driving test is useless and can't filter these people out. They probably cause many accidents.
Its only tight once cos once your thru your thru 😅
The paradox is the great dream is everyone to get a quiet dead end road and developers go with it to get sales of course. This means of course the 80% of tarmac is in closed one entrance developments with no through route so contribute nothing to the road network. Then folks wonder why the roads are so congested.
been in some sticky situations like this doing brick and block but never filmed any of it..... shame u dont have a camera mounted showing the trailer position because to the average jo ( if there is one these days ) ....
