Just a landscape painter but after watching Corey Pitkin’s demo I’m going to give drawing with pan pastel a try. Thanks Corey and Eric for a fabulous lesson!
Thanks for the demonstration Corey. I’m watching on replay here in Australia. I’m looking forward to my third Pastel Live and watching your lesson there.
Nice video! I bought the original 20 color set when it first came out at least a decade ago, and finally using them. I like the set of 4 firm sponges for filling in and mark making and the pastel blender makes beautiful ethereal translucent colors from the bold colors. Going to try it on the toned paper. Thanks
A pan of pastel can last an extremely long time… They are a bit on the large side, I’m waiting for them to come out with smaller ones that are travel friendly and may be fit in a little travel case :-) they remind me of make up and the way it is packaged. Performs like dry paint. It’s a lovely medium :-)
I love pan pastels.. Just went online to try and buy your value specs. Cheap Joes had them on special for $16USD. To get them shipped to Australia it’s going to cost $133! How can anyone justify that? For something so light it should be a couple of dollars. I find this really frustrating. Same with Terry Ludwig..
Good to see you Eric and having Corey on to seeing his new art supplies ❤Linda from Sherman Texas ❤
