Hello again . I was there in 1989 . Sai Yok Camp, Kanchanaburi for my overseas reservist training. I still had the picture of myself taken opposite the River Kwai Bridge. WOW , once again your video bringing me back my old memories . Take care !
I was in Kao Meng field camp, near Sai Yok Camp, roughing it out under tentage. Luckily it was dry season and we had the moon and stars accompanying us. It was also songkran and we distributed food to the villages nearby, getting our faces plastered with white powder. It was good memories for me too.
Great travelogue videos now in 2024 still using manual ticket wow bring back old memories during my school days use to have manual ticket when get up a bus amazing
As you write in your summary, the history of the River Kwai Railway Bridge, built at the expense of many pow's lives, is a dark fact. At the same time, when we see the smiling faces of the people at this tranquil and peaceful tourist spot captured on video footage taken by a drone, we are reminded of the changes in the times transition. Your video also includes footage of museums where historical evidence is on display and war cemeteries, but it also includes scenes that give a glimpse of beautiful landscapes, statues, and other sights as well as people's lives, making it a very rich and fulfilling video work. We couldn’t take our eyes off this video piece!✨ Yosh and Iku
This video is recorded with love and edited over several days to be shared with people who love to travel to places with a sense of history. I have several more videos of Thailand taken in Pai - Mae Hong Son, in Mon Jam - Chiang Mai, in Sukhothai - Central Thailand and in Koh Samui. These videos will appeal to wanderlusts but not to the masses, so I will take my time to edit them. I will be travelling... Manila in Nov, Bangkok in Dec (work), Beijing in Feb and Europe in May. My backlog of travel videos is getting very long 😅. Yosh and Iku, thank you for your support.
Kanchanaburi is a lovely place to visit. Did my reservist stint there. There's a bigger waterfall there called the Erawan Waterfall. You will love that one also.

Modern Bangkok still has bus conductors who issue manual tickets in their non aircon buses. Their canal transportation (river taxis) use tickets too.
