I know this comment is from three years ago, but it was pretty massive when it came out. Got nominated for several Emmy's it's first season and I'm pretty sure it had the most viewers for any original Netflix show in 2017 when it came out.

they actually look like they all could be an actual family. the actress who plays the daughter looks like she could be Wendy's actual daughter, her voice sounds like hers too. Jonah looks like he could be Michael's son too (I know his name is Jason Bateman, but he's always gonna be Michael Blooth to me)
This series should have a binge warning. The acting, writing and directing are outstanding! Congratulations to the whole team and NETFLIX for backing quality projects.

Jason Bateman rocks this show. Seeing him take on a dramatic role after so many years typecast as a comedic actor is refreshing. Similar to Vince Vaughan in S2 of True Detective, Bateman shows the real breadth of his acting chops in this series. Bodies in barrels was very reminiscent of Breaking Bad but the way the story unfolded was unique. An excellent binge-worthy effort from all concerned and I look forward to S2 (please...)

Yes "Breaking Bad" was bloody brilliant, haven't watched "Weeds" yet. I got to say though, "Ozark" always kept me on my toes and always wanting to watch some more. It's a very well written and directed show. They got phenomenal actors too. One of my current favorite shows right now👍

This is the best show I've seen in a long time! Season 1-Episode 1 will absolutely blow your mind. I could not wait until the next spare hour I had to watch the next episode! This Cast is amazing! I never realized that Laura is such a great actress even though I had seen her in other roles. Her character has so much range and depth. One of the more amazing aspects is when she is able to play a non-actor character who is acting (pretending to be sincere). Is different than just acting, she must behave as a “normal person” would act when cloaking there true feelings. I hate her character, but she is the gives the most consistent performances on the show.
Fabulous shows, great writing and production, tremendous acting by all the cast. Laura is outstanding but then again I've always had a thing for her.

One of best shows of all time! Can't believe only 7 episodes left. Phenomenal from start to finish-- In fact, better and better and better as it goes along. Deserves Best Drama Emmy for its final season. And Laura Linney deserves Best Actress. And Julia Garner is a revelation- she deserves her 4th nomination and 3rd Emmy as Best Supporting Actress. Bateman should win Best Actor, as well-but I will be satisfied with him adding to his Best Director Emmy with Best Drama for his producing role of this masterpiece. The kids are great too and the whole cast is spectacular! 10 out of 10 stars!

Turned into one of the best shows of all time- incredible from the very 1st episode. Best pilot of all time- hooks you for life. Discovered Julia Garner- who will beat Meryl Streep for Best Actress nominations in her lifetime- already 1 emmy. Laura Linney up for Emmy this year too and should win. Jason won for Best Director. Hopefully, it wins Best Drama in a few weeks too for Season 3. Kids are great too as their roles are growing and evolving.

She was the one I wanted to "slap out of it" the most. I couldn't stand the character. One of these days someone is going to write a young female character who isn't bitchy because she has to move away from her friends. Jeez. You're running for your life and all you can do is pout? When they come back I do hope they change her. Not her sarcasm, which I love, but her bitching about her old life. Let her bitch about something else. So yeah, she has potential because she started, IMO, from the bottom.

I Binge watched. I have ADHD and Ozarks kept my attention the entire time which is unusual. The 'Snells' were almost too weird, that dichotomy of how the town was in regards to them was creepy. Jason Bateman....Hot. All the characters were so different, so it was an easy watch! Biting the bit WAITING for the next season! As a writer I have a few ideas of my own.
