I'm fairly new to BJJ. I almost have a year in it, so I'm still a white belt. I have been trying to work on takedowns more lately, so this video is a huge help. My girlfriend size is an A4 or A5. A5 jackets fit me more comfortably but A4 pants fit better than A5. Although I can fit into either one.

Congratulations for 60.000 followers. Your actual video is really good. I like to have sometimes other techniques, outside from classic judo. I need a new gi. I don't know the sizes for gis in the USA. My gi's size is 190. A black belt alternative would be also fine. I'm preparing for the exam. Have a nice weekend and stay healthy. Regards, Dirk.

Real slim guy and have had trouble finding a gi that suits me. Depending on the brand Size 4 in JUDO. Mentioned in an IG comment I’ve never had bjj gi but was thinking that’s the way to go, at least for practice since they seem to have a slimmer cut. A2. Anyway love the content definitely my go to source for JUDO on TH-cam!

hey shintaro, love your vids, high school junior wrestler here. another great concept you should definitely make a video on is the gunfight. cary kolat has a explanation about it on youtube i think. a lot of people do not have the natural aggression to wrestle, I sure didn’t. but his explanation helped me have my Aha moment and it’s helped me a lot since.

I would like to see Lyra perform some judo throws on you while you instruct. She brings a delicate, gentle approach that it would compliment your program.

If turn throws are so difficult to learn, what's their role in judo as a self defence system? Are they not really stressed in that perspective? Or are turn throws only difficult against other grapplers, and actually easy and effective against untrained street assailants that lunge towards you?
I was a wrestler in high school, bjj brown belt and a yellow belt in judo. My Gi size in A2.

Just did my 4th wrestling lesson and did some no gi judo in that from a similar situation you shown, love all your videos, just started judo this week but unfortunately in the UK its still no contact so just doing breakfalls and forward rolls which is helpful but I can't wait for contact, bought my first gi and it didn't have a proper size on it, it says 180cm (I'm 182cm) subscribed to your channel a long time ago and liked the video. I subscribed to your channel a few months ago, and I've learned a TON of good, solid principles and techniques. I've really appreciated these videos on wrestling. I'd be interested to know how long you wrestled as opposed to the length of time you have been doing judo. I did see a video where you introduced your father, so I assume you have been practicing judo all your life, but even though judo is always fascinating and has endless techniques, I also like seeing these wrestling principles. (not sure my judo gi size, but I'm 5'10" and about 172 lbs. I'm size 5 to 6 in a karate gi)

As a primarily nogi guy, I really like the conceptual grip fighting/stance discussions both for gi and nogi. Especially gi since there's so much invisible micro advantages going on. Cheers! A2 gi size, not sure about judo gi size charts but I'm 175cm tall.
