@@timothykeith1367 You would have to put a turbo on a 4020 for it to try to keep up with a 930, much less a 1030. 4020 is a chore tractor for lighter work and crop harvesting. 930 and 1030 are work horses that can do that and pull hard besides.

Dad probably made the 1st. round and followed last years dead furrow or a row of corn stubble and when nothing else works in a big flat field like that pick a tree at the other end lineup the radiator cap on that tree and drive keeping the cap lined up with the tree. ( yup been there done all of the above)
Your daughter is plowing great. Nice, straight furrows. Hopefully, she realized that a hat with a brim at least over her eyes, and sunglasses, are excellent accesories. The hat not only helps keep sun out of her eyes, but also keeps hair from getting so dirtly. Sunglasses to keep dust, etc, out of her eyes, as well as the sun. Irritated eyes are a pain in the @$$, plus squinting all day can give you a migraine

Dan Newton oh, ok. Our land up here in Ohio varies from silty loam to white clay. I think it’s really cool your daughter runs the Case plowing. I have a son, he can run pretty much anything, it’s just getting him to do it! I’m resorting a Versatile 145, originally have a V8 Cummins, but it’s now powered by a 5.9 12 valve Cummins. Makes way better power and torque.

I have heard that the 930 and 1030 are a good alternative to a John Deere 4020 - less costly and fundamentally a good tractor

It's my understanding that J.I.Case's parent firm absorbed International Harvester following the bankruptcy of IH.
That was Tenneco that made the Merger because both companies were about to go under

It is a diesel. It wasn’t working very hard in this field because it is really sandy. Probably only burning 3 gallons per hour in the sand.
