My softball coach was talking about this when the case was solved. Turns out Ive been playing softball for over 4 years just across the street from where the guy lived. Scares me to know that he could've been watching all of the little girls playing.
Tough it would be terrible that he would’ve gotten into jail for something he didn’t do, I wouldn’t feel bad about it, that man sounded like a real creep and should’ve gotten help...
that line made me tear up. And I don't usually because I hear these types of things all the time, but just hearing her mother say that one line...; man that's the saddest thing I've ever heard.
If you’re looking for another case out of Indiana, please look into the deaths of Liberty German and Abigail Williams. They were murdered in 2017 and there is a photo, sketch, and Audio file of his voice. He’s never been found though.
This case is in my hometown. I was not alive when it happened. They had a community event this past weekend at "Aprils Garden" which is a memorial. We went out there and saw her mom. I am so glad they caught this guy. Rip April
I honestly don't understand why people are able to do such things like this to innocent kids. I'm talking about kidnapping, killing, and raping ... i just don't get it. If you have urges, u should really seek help... don't hurt others for your "needs."
Its disgusting. I am a social worker so u work in these cases (I used to not anymore as it is too heavy) and I studied psychology and most of these perpetrators like the power they hold when they torture/ kill the victims and seeing others in pai is their own gain. I just hope they do go to hospital and admit themselves and get help. Like I dont get the reason to do this, like in the end you will end up in Prison and affecting many innocent lives
Exactly! Like with the whole Elizabeth Smart case the guy that kidnapped her kept telling her "god told me to do this." Um no he didn't dude you're just insane.
Yeah turns out pedophiles have a part of their brain that’s different from a normal persons. It could literally be solved through medicine, but when people get these urges they’re either to ashamed to get help or are pieces of sh*t with no empathy and refuse to get help
The guy was born slow according to his brother, and he was molested when he was a teenager, he thought It must have triggered something in him... You can always understand why some people are able to do such things but It doesn't make this crime less unbearable...
This is why parents now drive their kids everywhere , even if it's a 5min walk: & all the local nurseries have access via entryphone only, 6foot fences & CCTV in the playground, with primary schools following suit. Sad.
I’m again how things could have been prevented if we just carried ourselves like that from jump...every child care facility or school should be running like that as a standard.
Horrible horrible idea. It might sound hard, but just because of some sad cases a whole generation should loose their ability of exploring the world by their own? You let monsters rule society if things go that way. Whats next? Testing everyones DNA to catch one criminal?
@@gwennyx5815 If it takes taking everyone's DNA at birth to catch a murderer before he murders again, then I think its a great idea. I'm sure if you asked any of the parents of murdered children, if they regret letting their child walk alone, they'd all say yes. I wouldn't let my child alone on the streets to prove a point. It's like playing Russian Roulette with your child's life.
My little sister is about to be in 1st grade ... I would never stop looking for her if she went missing. I'm glad that justice was served. Many Cases go by without being solved .. I'm glad this one was solved.
I love that not only is this technology thriving BUT that people are caring enough to go back to old fold cases and still fix it. I feel like a lot of times cases go cold and that’s that.
To me it feels like, yes, cases do go cold, but the ones that don't, still get attention. When you have people like April's family, and all the other countless families that Kendall has covered, this is what makes the cases stay open. And even though I could never give as much credit to Kendall as I can to the families of these individual cases, I just want to say, even though she already knows, that what you (Kendall) are doing, is not only spearing awareness about these cases to people, but also, keeping them in media attention enough to solve them. So just saying THANK YOU TO ALL THE FAMILIES OUT THERE that never let these cases go cold, and all the people who care enough about other people and see that they have a platform to spread a message, THANK YOU. You all are the ones bringing justice like this to innocent people. You really are some of the best human beings living on this planet. And thank you again.
Same. My little sister is like my own child. I take care of her like my own daughter. Can’t imagine something like this happening to her. I wouldn’t be able to live with myself because I would feel like I let her down and couldn’t protect her
Hey Kendall! I'd love to get your take on my great-uncle's case. My uncle Richard, his wife Belinda, and their two young children went missing September 1974 on a camping trip in the forests of southern Oregon. Their bodies were found the following spring. Unsolved case and has at least one suspect who is currently incarcerated for other similar crimes.
The end makes me really sad because my mother often tells me about how when I was little she imagined me as adult what I'd look like what I'd be like as a person who I might get married too what my career would be and now she always tells me your more beautiful than I could have imagined... That got stolen from this imaginative mother I know her daughter too would have been more beautiful than she could have imagined
People get scared of technology but this is exactly what it should be used for! So glad it’s been solved and the family can have closure. RIP little April.
When i was younger (aprils age) i would get so mad that my mum wouldnt let me go out by myself etc like my friends did but now i totally get it and i will be the same because you never know who is out there some people are capable of these things and you never expect it to happen to you but these cases just really make you think how easily these situations could have been avoided ☹️ so sad
I just got my AncestryDNA test back today. I kind of want to contact that company you spoke about and let them know to test my dna against crimes in certain areas where I lived when younger. My father is a convicted child molester and not sure his dna was collected when he went in. I googled and can’t find a definite answer as to if his dna would have been collected or not.
Kelli Maddock, MMT, MT-BC I’ve started the Parabon snapshot process but I’m a procrastinator unfortunately and haven’t finished it all. I’m also looking for other companies that do it as well.
coffee drinker That’s actually not true. I googled it. It depends on when and where his intake was. Not to mention information is rarely shared between agencies. From my research I can’t be certain his dna is in a national database, there’s a likelihood but I don’t want to take the chance.
Not all felons have their samples taken, even when its court ordered. Really depends on where they serve their sentence or who their probation/parole officer. Also depends on the location and funding or how dedicated people are to actually doing their jobs. Load your DNA into Gedmatch and opt in so that the police can compare you to suspects. Gedmatch is under new ownership and one must log in and opt in or else they can't compare to your sample now
That’s incredible that these new technologies are helping solve these cases. People worry about Ancestry and 23 & Me using their DNA, but in situations like this I’m glad they do!
Elle Handley It's great but what is REALLY scary is that these companies are owned by Google and Google has already filed for patents for technology which uses our DNA. Really disturbing technology. I highly suggest looking into it.
Google doesn't own it, but one of the co-founders was married to one of the co-founders of Google at the time and Google invested a shit ton of money into it.
kay luh Yeah. Asking for the specific amount of his bonus. Even if it were someone who knew about his bonus, you'd think they would've rounded it up or down to a more logical amount.
“He was trolling down the street and he told us he saw April walking down the street and he pulled up a block and waited outside his vehicle for her to walk by. He told her to get in the car and she did. He then took her to his trailer in Grabill, the same trailer he was living in [when he was caught],” Martin recalled. Miller sexually assaulted and killed April in his trailer and then under the cover of night, he took her body to a ditch along County Road 68 in DeKalb County. But there was still the question of why. Miller had told police he had pre-meditated wanting to take a child, but he had never seen April before the day he abducted her. “[I think he answered it] in an indirect way. He was looking for a child suitable for what he wanted and he saw her as a target and he jumped on it,” Martin said. “It’s scary to think there are people in our society capable of doing this. Had she been five minutes earlier or five minutes later, we probably wouldn’t be sitting here today. It could have been anybody, any little kid in that area that day and that was probably not the first time he had gone looking,” Hetrick said. Miller admitted to Detectives Martin and Hetrick that, after he snatched and killed April, over the years he had thought about taking a child again. He even went trolling through neighborhoods and parking lots, but he never found an opportunity. “To think he could do something so heinous as what he did to April in 1988 and then just stop, I think everyone was very skeptical of that and I think we tried to answer those questions,” Martin said. “We were very direct with John about other cases. We kept going over other cases. We knew there was no DNA match, but we were persistent with John to tell us and help other families if there are other families and he was very insistent there was not. It’s incredible that he went looking and fortunately no one was there.” (I went digging cause some of this was left not answered. He didnt know her he just wanted to do it and saw an opportunity and jumped.. disgusting.. Also he has been portrayed as slow and was sent to some sort of institution where he was supposedly raped.. So him being slow he took it as it was "ok" to do it.. crock of shit if you ask me.. Since he went around writing all that shit to other girls.. He even fantasized about doing it again. and has insisted that he did not.. only because he never got another chance)
Her underwear contained the suspect’s semen, but it was too minuscule an amount to create a DNA profile at the time. It wasnt until notes appeared on other children's bikes stating that he had killed and raped April and was going to do the same to them. So now that science has advanced they reran the DNA.
@@charvanr312 if I remember they had to wait untill advancement of technology.. once was available they reopened and used it but it ..Came down to him and his brother so needed his DNA to make sure had the right brother
Every time I watch 1 of these I break. I have 2 little girls that are my whole world and I cannot imagine the immense amount of pain these poor parents go through after losing their little angels.
If anyone is reading this watch a movie called “Lovely Bones” it’s about a girl who was murdered and she refuses to go to heaven so she watches over her family and gives them signs that she’s still here. It’s so good and it made me cry
"Lovely Bones" is the movie I cried profusely over. When it came out I was young & made me more aware of just people in general. Great movie in general!
I also wonder what would have happened if her friend walked back with her. I wonder if they would have both been killed or if he wouldn’t have touched either of them.
@@RATCULT-ol9sz LMAO girl it was the 80s XD I assure you this wasn't the only parent that allowed this. believe it or not hun, ppl would leave their front doors and windows open for centuries. this type of stuff use to be unheard of. that doesn't mean they didn't care?? imagine being in that place and taking sm precaution like we do now when literally no one back then did. people would think ur crazy or have severe anxiety or something. may I remind you, this is the MURDERERS faults. don't blame the parents.
@@RATCULT-ol9sz I was born in 96 and I remember when I was young 7/8 we used to just come in and out all day, doors left open the lot. It wasn't as out there as it is now, people are way more scared of these things. I have two little boys, and never would I let them out of my sight like this, but this is now, that was then.
@@kissaverystulipsfloraldesign yeah, people can be so messed up I don’t get it, I was 7 when I was first sexually abused , I still wonder why to this day.I am 18
I do this!!! But not because I get scared, but because I get bored?? Even though I’m super interested in the video, I HAVE to scroll to keep myself entertained and engaged in more than one way. Really weird. I even scroll through twitter while watching a movie because for some reason I need to focus on more than one thing
I've heard this song before and I can't figure out where! It makes me feel like it's not a good memory though. Another missing person's case or show? It's driving me crazy.
SAME!!! That along with those other notes totally freaked me tf out!!! Thank God for this amazing technology because that sorry s.o.b really thought he was gonna get away with it!
Wow. Technology is truly amazing. As much as I talk smack about people constantly on their cell phones, or people sitting in front of the TV/Computer all day, we would be nothing without technology
I just couldn't take it when April's mother started to speak...i just broke down... couldn't control my tears... she is so sweet but she must be in soooooo much pain
Erin Poin oh my god there is so much wrong with your comment. How is this making this about themself? They clearly understand that the poor mother must be heartbroken because her child was KILLED.
I've seen so many of these sad stories, but this story of April really broke my heart and I just caught myself crying especially when I saw how they built the April's garden.
Ok, about those notes: that's when I'd just pack up and leave that freaking town. I would never wait around for some perv to threaten my child. Now, I know that most people don't have the means to just skip town like that...
Lady Breton like you mentioned it is unfortunately true that most people do not have the resources to move, but what is really sad is that anyone would have to. There’s just so many sickos out there and there really isn’t a way to escape them.
Sasha I took my kids to a park up in Northern Cali. When we were doing our picnic we noticed a plaque that looked similar to a grave plaque. The girls age was so young and the park was dedicated to her. When I researched who she was, I was heartbroken. Her trailor park use to be up the streeet and the community donated this park in her name. The story is so disturbing and different from the normal horrible stories we read about. Its a very interesting case! Thanks for suggesting it. I hope she covers it!
I can’t believe people sexually assault children. It makes me so so so sick and angry. How can someone look at a CHILD like that?! Hurts my stomach to think about that.
@@Gurl-5150I also agree with you... these offenders get away almost always sometimes, even several times, with just a slap on the wrist. Its sickening.... and then there's people doing life in prison for non violent crimes like growing weed or selling weed. It's literally maddening.
I say they should continue to use this method to find the killers. The goal should be to solve ALL the murders that are cold unsolved murders. I'm just happy that April has her justice, and now other cases can be solved and murderers can be put away for good.
Something good about prison: Child abusers, child molesters, and child murderers are the enemy of EVERYONE. This dude won’t last. And as horrible as it is to say, I hope his end is gruesome and painful.
Sometimes this is true but most state prisons make all of them live in a back housing unit away from General Population. It actually costs less to keep them away from the "regular" inmates because NO one, in and out, of prison likes a child killer!! It's hard to be nice to people like that...
My cousin was in prison with a lady that caught her house on fire to kill her kids, another one killed her child and cooked it and fed it to her husband. They walked around like they owned the place. People need to stop romanticizing criminals, because some may be good people most are really bad.
Just stop this bullshit. Men and women in prison are generally just people trying to get free again. They are not some superhero revenge squad to fulfill your frustrated fantasies. The actions you're so blithely advocating would compromise their quests for freedom. If you want someone's death to be "gruesome and painful," do it yourself. Imaginary incarcerees are not your karma-bitches.
Prickly Pear The original comment was not stated as a romanticization. It tends to be common fact in prison that inmates with horrendous crimes related to children tend to be harassed by other inmates, usually by bullying or gang-ups. Or they’ll commit suicide, whichever comes first. Does this happen to every child-harming prisoner? No, of course not. When it does happen, does it make the other inmates saints or superheroes? Also no. They’re there for a reason; the original comment wasn’t disregarding their crime, only acknowledging that a lot of inmates have enough of a head on their shoulders to know involving children in crime is wrong. It’s not an advocation to say that, nor is it an expectation. It just happens, and the hope is that fact applies here. No need to have a justice shtick over it.
I have been binge watching all of your videos between studying for nursing school exams; it's my reward after listening to lectures. Thank you so much for your easy to navigate page and awesome, detailed deep dives into these crazy stories.
Morgan I used to breed guinea pigs. Every single litter was born on a full moon. We were careful, and had 5 moms with a litter per year for 3 years. All of them gave birth on full moons. 15 litters. It was strange
I adore you two. And, I’m a new subscriber because your stories are so fun. I love the music, it’s spooky but, not overbearing. Keep at it! Have you ever explore the story of Polly Krause from Petaluma, Ca?
Yesss this case was so sad! Do you listen to the my favorite murder podcast? The episode where Karen tells the story since she’s from Petaluma was so touching and sad!
As a teacher, I can attest to the full moon thing... I noticed that my students acted weirder, or that the days didn't go as planned. I casually brought it up with my mother who has been teaching for 35 years, and she was like "OMG! EVERY TEACHER KNOWS THIS!"
I am NOT a commenter. I am a true crime junkie though. And I am also from Fort Wayne. I was so upset to see none of my channels covering this story when it broke. This was huge for our city - this had tormented us for decades. I’m 26, so my childhood was vastly different than my parents BECAUSE of this case - particularly the notes. Thank you so much for covering this.
Ali Litchfield really? I think WANE covered this story and Channel 21 as well, at least from what I saw. It's on their TH-cam channel if you want to see.
I grew up in the 1980s and was in 8th grade then, when this happen in 1988, it was not uncommon for kids to walk to store alone or ride bikes to parks. My parents were the type they never let us stay at people's homes or roam alone. Now I look back and as a mother now, it just makes sense why they were protective. It was different time and there was cases of child kidnappers but it was always in other people's towns. It can happen anywhere but in today crime climate no children should roam alone. I remember this case and glad the killer was found he one sick scum of the earth.
Yeah, it does sound pretty bad. My mom was telling me how her mom always let her and her sister ride around the neighborhood in their bikes because it was pretty safe back then, but no one would even think about doing that now.
I never did understand the phrase "times were different back then" concerning child rape, kidnapping, murder &/or molestation & ALL the sick mfs that commit these disgusting, evil acts to innocent little children....makes zero sense sorry!their has ALWAYS been pedophiles ppl!maybe just way less media coverage is all due to lack of technology like today💁they were never "safe",kiddie rapists/killers didnt all of a sudden just "appear" or develop after the 80-early 90's...
Stephanie Junkins I think she means that people didn’t think about it back then. People were not thinking about things like that happening because it wasn’t common. People did let let their kids walk around because they thought everything was safe even though it clearly wasn’t
exactly and at her age, I grew up in a super safe town but My mom never let me go out alone until I was older. and the fact that people never thought this could happen just shows how out of touch with the world people used to be, because people still got kidnapped back then but less news outlets and no internet to see what's going on around the country/world
Kendall it’s so amazing that you do these type of videos because they bring so much awareness specially to all types of audiences. You truly are amazing and also for people out there know that not everyone has bad intentions. When I was about 5-7 years old my family and i went to Santa Monica beach and we went to the restroom. My mom had went to check if the restrooms were open and I stayed behind with my aunt and cousin. When my mom let us know they were open i went towards her. However when I went to go look for her inside the restroom I didn’t see her so I decided to go back towards my aunt but I didn’t see her either so I thought they must have been by the swings so I went but nothing I walked nearby the pier crying because I couldn’t find them that was when a lady found me and took me to go look for a lifeguard she was being so nice and saying we were going to find my parents. She took me to a lifeguard and from there they took me to the police station, where my parents were waiting for me. I am so thankful to her and god that she returned me to my parents and that instead of leaving me there for someone else to kidnap me or even for her to kidnap she did the right thing. I am so grateful for that every day. When I see your where is or found videos I get so happy you’re shedding light on situations like those.
I'll never understand how some men do such sick, twisted, discusting things to children. Thank God for technology. I hope it advances soo such that no one gets away with this shit anymore. God bless ❤
My sister is an OB-GYN. 100% weird shit happens with the full moon! They actually have extra staff that day, because more women go into labor. It's a fact, not even opinion! Also- I think it's amazing that they're able to use new DNA and technology to solve crimes!
I worked in a nursing home for almost 2 years. The residents would act crazy on full moons. They would get into fights, residents that weren't usually violent were violent, residents that were usually chill most the time acted crazy. Theres definitely things about the moon that we don't understand.
No this has been debunked. Many medical professionals say this but reviews of documentation show no difference in care or needed behavior interventions. People will attribute things to the full moon that happen with the same frequency at other times they blame on something else.
Elisabeth Rogers Omg crazy my mom works in the E.R and she says that when there's a full moon out at night those are the nights where they get critical patients all day and the E.R is full of patients and they get alot of pysche patients 😂😆
I’m happy that they found the killer. The worst thing is to find your child/ someone you know dead and not even know who did it. I hope April rests in peace.
This story is crazy. I used to live up the street from her mom and her brother who would be way younger. They were a little different. Growing up I never knew she went through this. I just thought she was a little different, but this explains so much.
After losing April both her and my uncle went into a depression and it really messed up their psych ... they still suffer ... but both r still alive and living life the best they can... even my cousin suffered from all this..he had to grow up being April's lil brother... can u imagine all the questions and stares ... messes with ppl

Kendall! please do a video on the death of Sandra Bland. she was a women in texas who was pulled over for changing lanes without using her blinker. her altercation with the cops has raised lots of speculation with people who have seen the dash cam footage and then people have had theories that the cop had actually killed her when he arrested her. personally i believe there was foul play but i would love to see your opinion on it.
I usually avoid true crime since I had like a true crime phase and eventually it freaked me out too much but I like kendall's videos occasionally because I feel like she presents all the facts normally and respectfully & doesn't get super graphic so yeah
I’ve just found your channel... omg, I’m obsessed. I have watched so many videos back to back - they are so well put together, succinct and you cover lesser known cases which I really respect. Loving your work and delighted to have found you channel. ❤️
Can you please cover the ongoing case nicknamed “Babes in The Wood” it is on the murder (and sexual assault) of two nine year old girls in Brighton 32 years ago. The trial is still ongoing to this day and one of the girls’ fathers lives about 15 minutes away from me so it is kinda a close to home one for me personally. I find this case very interesting as there have been many inquiries into one person (Russell Bishop) who was actually acquitted after being on trial shortly after the murders were committed, but is currently serving a life sentence for a completely different case. After many investigations into the father after rumours of him sexually assaulting his daughter days before her murder, it is again Russell Bishop who is on trial to this day 32 years later. Please cover this case as i feel that it is a clear example of the improvement of science and technology over the years, but is also very interesting and also annoying and upsetting. Love you lots i have literally seen pretty much ALL of your videos. ❤️❤️❤️
These videos are encouraging me to stop just looking with a glance at my surroundings and start observing the details around me--especially children. You never know how you might be able to help an investigation. God bless the children, the innocent, and the vulnerable.
I live about a half hour from Fort Wayne and when it came out that the case was solved, it was a very weird feeling. Like there was finally justice, but it was also like pouring salt in a wound. I wasn’t alive when she was murdered, but it was something that I’ve always known about, like no one here really let the case rest until it was solved.
As a child of the 80s, my sister and I both thank our lucky stars that we made it through. We used to run around the neighborhood at 3+ years old with our brother and our neighborhood friends. I still have a scar on my knee from when I fell down my neighbor's driveway when I was 4. Life was different back then. Things like this didn't happen or they happened to other people. It could have been any one of us. Scary.
I love your videos so much!! You talk with such compassion and intelligence, i always end up choking back tears. You really do justice for these people's stories😭❤
I live in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and I was in baton. before the killer was found, he lived in this neighborhood. I was in a parade, and marched right past his house. I was about 10 years old when I marched in the parade. it is truly chilling knowing that me and my group marched past the killers house.
I’m sure Kendall knows, it’s not just you guys getting coverage it’s everyone in the US! Even traveling around Ive seen coverage on her case on different local news stations from Florida to Washington. I’ve also been wondering if she was going to do a video on it but she probably needs time until they put more info out there

This case scares me every time I hear about it…. Because I grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana and so did my mother. She says she remembers when April went missing and how scared everyone was. Unfortunately, I also ended up being witness to a case that happened in Fort Wayne as well… In 2011 when our family friend Aliahna Lemmon went missing around the holidays and was found murdered… it really traumatized me knowing someone that close who was only a few years younger than me was killed… it’s so messed up how people can just do this to others… absolutely horrible! Makes me sick 😞
Both April and Aliahna’s cases haunted me growing up. I grew up about a town over from Fort Wayne and spent most of my time there. I’m so sorry you were a witness and lost a friend. Such tragic losses.

What a little cutey! So sad that this monster took April from her loving family and friends. The memorial garden is so touching and sweet. I'm so glad her family got answers - I hope many more families in the same situation get answers too.
The full moon is FACTS! when I worked in an adult daycare center for seniors they would completely change, get upset and or moody and fight! It was so odd but my boss told me about this and it was true from what I witnessed. Really weird!

I agree. It's scary to think how many innocent people are in jail. That particular guy however, had some serious issues though.
The fact that the family was literally stuck in time, like time went on for everyone except for them, is so heartbreaking. Wow.
Ya...
Not “literally “

They still are stuck in time, grieving her death like it happened yesterday even tho it was over 30 years ago.
"my memory of her as..when she was just a little girl. that's when it ends" oh boy, that broke my heart!!!
that line made me tear up. And I don't usually because I hear these types of things all the time, but just hearing her mother say that one line...; man that's the saddest thing I've ever heard.
Gennie Linara i agree. i can’t imagine the pain of losing a child.
Briceida Meraz Lopez 21:25
I swear when I heard the mother say that, tears from both of my eyes dropped on my cheeks... What a heartbreaking story.
If you’re looking for another case out of Indiana, please look into the deaths of Liberty German and Abigail Williams. They were murdered in 2017 and there is a photo, sketch, and Audio file of his voice. He’s never been found though.

I really want to give a big hug to April's mother. Her life was stuck for 30 years
Oh poor april she was so cute.
I hope they tell 😢 WHY??? 😮😢😮
This case is in my hometown. I was not alive when it happened. They had a community event this past weekend at "Aprils Garden" which is a memorial. We went out there and saw her mom. I am so glad they caught this guy. Rip April
Wow that's so great, what an incredible community. I showed the garden at the end, I was so touched by that
Same!!! I live in Fort Wayne!
Did the family know the killer?
Rana 1016 not that I am aware of. I think a lot of details have yet to be released.
Oh my gosh same!! I live in the hometown too it’s very sad 🙁
Honestly though, this happens way to often and I can’t help but imagine what it would be like to be raped or kidnapped
My nieces school wanted my driver's license and a pin number only my sister and the school knew plus they wanted to know what kind of car I was in.
i agree it's so sad what society has come to nowadays
@@gwennyx5815 If it takes taking everyone's DNA at birth to catch a murderer before he murders again, then I think its a great idea. I'm sure if you asked any of the parents of murdered children, if they regret letting their child walk alone, they'd all say yes. I wouldn't let my child alone on the streets to prove a point. It's like playing Russian Roulette with your child's life.
When you said that he responded with "April Tinsley" when police knocked on his door, I gasped and got shivers.
She was so adorable- ;-; it's hard to look at someone picture and know that person is actually dead and how they died.

omg panic! at the disco.
My little brother is 8 years old. I can’t imagine something like that happening to him. Finally April can rest.

Ana Alves same with my parents. Especially my dad. I thought he was overprotective, he was simply just being a good dad ❤️
my mom was born around the time she was born and she was 8 when April was sooo that terrifies me
Ana Alves yah.
Can't hurt to ask!
Kelli Maddock, MMT, MT-BC I’ve started the Parabon snapshot process but I’m a procrastinator unfortunately and haven’t finished it all. I’m also looking for other companies that do it as well.
If he is a felon, they have his DNA in the database.
coffee drinker That’s actually not true.
Gedmatch is under new ownership and one must log in and opt in or else they can't compare to your sample now
'' Janette wished her whole life to be a mother, April was the daughter she dreamed of'' Damn that hit me right in the feels, ouchie!
I know it probably wouldn’t help but I hope she was able to have other children eventually.

Connie Beard i dont think so. I her case there were some powerful people covering her murder up.
MsMedford Good point.
I think most can agree that Jon Benet's parents had something to do with it. The ransom note is BS.

kay luh Yeah.
It’s incredible that he went looking and fortunately no one was there.”
(I went digging cause some of this was left not answered.
Wow! Thanks for this!!
What triggered police to retrieve his DNA fr garbage etc? What put specifically him on police radar? Thx
Her underwear contained the suspect’s semen, but it was too minuscule an amount to create a DNA profile at the time. It wasnt until notes appeared on other children's bikes stating that he had killed and raped April and was going to do the same to them. So now that science has advanced they reran the DNA.

@@Gurl-5150 No, it wouldn't. It's been happening since the beginning of time. Good vs evil, God vs satan.
Yeah people that are in jail are messed up but most people in there don’t like people who do anything to children, they don’t last.

I'm I the only one that thinks is insane to let a kid that small walk alone? Maybe time were "different" but were they real ?
People did let let their kids walk around because they thought everything was safe even though it clearly wasn’t
exactly and at her age, I grew up in a super safe town but My mom never let me go out alone until I was older. and the fact that people never thought this could happen just shows how out of touch with the world people used to be, because people still got kidnapped back then but less news outlets and no internet to see what's going on around the country/world
now i understand why my mom never wanted me to talk and always said no and made me take the bus.
He worked at the Walmart I worked at. Crazy.
that’s horrifying
That’s scary
Erin Quinn I dropped my dorito while reading your comment
Savannah Marie i want doritosss
The Kittiest me to bro
My mum would never let me out, I wasn’t even aloud to walk home or to school until I was in grade 8.
aye adelaide my daughter is 14 and she still has to get picked up
Cleo Has
aye adelaide Same here my mom wouldn’t let me walk alone by myself either!
I’ve even walked alone to kindergarten, I guess I’m lucky nothing ever happened to me😶
I’m not allowed to walk anywhere by myself and I’m 19
So were was your aunt and cousin when you came out of the restroom? No offense but your mom and aunt seem pretty stupid
I can’t understand how anyone could be this evil. This whole thing just hurts my heart so badly
I'll never understand how some men do such sick, twisted, discusting things to children. Thank God for technology. I hope it advances soo such that no one gets away with this shit anymore. God bless ❤
*disgusting

It’s not just men
And women
@@mackers9672 It's mostly men.
My sister is an OB-GYN. 100% weird shit happens with the full moon! They actually have extra staff that day, because more women go into labor. It's a fact, not even opinion!
Also- I think it's amazing that they're able to use new DNA and technology to solve crimes!
Elisabeth Rogers Oh wow I didnt know they employed more staff on a full moon.
I have always felt weird things happen then though.
I worked in a nursing home for almost 2 years. The residents would act crazy on full moons. They would get into fights, residents that weren't usually violent were violent, residents that were usually chill most the time acted crazy. Theres definitely things about the moon that we don't understand.
I am a night shift nurse in a Critical Care unit. Full moons are nuts. Even the tamest patients become handfuls
Black Veil Brides Fan She’s been in heaven for about 30 years.
I’m from Fort Wayne and people still talk about this case when they do the “stranger danger” presentation at schools.
@@kristinasnyder1170 we all hung out with him when they moved to KY and we never knew anything about what they went through. We would play basketball daily with him. We just never knew. He was always cool to us.
You look familiar and I played with friends on that street. Did you go to Fairfield elementary?
@@bremonbaybii3203 no this was after they moved from Indy to KY.
Kendall! please do a video on the death of Sandra Bland. she was a women in texas who was pulled over for changing lanes without using her blinker. her altercation with the cops has raised lots of speculation with people who have seen the dash cam footage and then people have had theories that the cop had actually killed her when he arrested her. personally i believe there was foul play but i would love to see your opinion on it.
Perfect timing! I was just getting ready to make supper with nothing interesting to watch, but then Kendall came through! 💜
Finally someone that tells the stories with their normal voice 🤣
I usually avoid true crime since I had like a true crime phase and eventually it freaked me out too much but I like kendall's videos occasionally because I feel like she presents all the facts normally and respectfully & doesn't get super graphic so yeah
Damn, spill some tea, who are you referring to?
Kendall's voice is almost calming too, its like motherly but pleasant.
Yeah, but it’s disturbing af how she inserts her mug into every thumbnail.
@@sunshine3914 who"?
To April's parents: I'm so sorry for your loss. May God give you the peace and strength to endure until the day you see her again.
Wow, he looks SO much like the sketch
Dee Rad you can already tell he's a perv...ugh, I hope he having a fun time in jail. I can't believe people do this. Poor child.
Kookie MMD I hope he isn’t having a fun time in jail
I fort the exact same !!
Dee Rad ikr! honestly especially the furrowed brows, that police sketch artist should be given a raise!
She was being sarcastic
I live about a half hour from Fort Wayne and when it came out that the case was solved, it was a very weird feeling. Like there was finally justice, but it was also like pouring salt in a wound. I wasn’t alive when she was murdered, but it was something that I’ve always known about, like no one here really let the case rest until it was solved.
jalen renee That's creepy. I'm from Indianapolis. My father had a business trip there a while ago.
Also isn't funny how there is never news about Indiana. Only murders.
I've seen so many child abuse/killing of kids come from fort Wayne it's insane
Thank you souch for bringing awareness to everything you do 💜
As a child of the 80s, my sister and I both thank our lucky stars that we made it through. We used to run around the neighborhood at 3+ years old with our brother and our neighborhood friends. I still have a scar on my knee from when I fell down my neighbor's driveway when I was 4. Life was different back then. Things like this didn't happen or they happened to other people. It could have been any one of us. Scary.
I was born in 1991 woo
I love your videos so much!! You talk with such compassion and intelligence, i always end up choking back tears. You really do justice for these people's stories😭❤
About the intro:
"must be a full moon" was a VERY common phrase at the place I used to work. That shit is real lol
May you Rest In Peace angel 🙏🏼👼🏼
I live in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and I was in baton. before the killer was found, he lived in this neighborhood. I was in a parade, and marched right past his house. I was about 10 years old when I marched in the parade. it is truly chilling knowing that me and my group marched past the killers house.
In Grabill, IN? That's where he lived
@@kristinasnyder1170 yep. that’s where some of the parade was.
Mollie Tibbetts is missing from my area, she’s from Iowa and has been for almost two weeks. It’s a huge search. Can you please give her some coverage?
Ivalise I commented about this too. I can’t believe she went missing without a trace 😢
Do this case!
I’m from Iowa too and it’s crazy how she just vanished. The hog farmer guy is super sketchy!!
I’m sure Kendall knows, it’s not just you guys getting coverage it’s everyone in the US! Even traveling around Ive seen coverage on her case on different local news stations from Florida to Washington. I’ve also been wondering if she was going to do a video on it but she probably needs time until they put more info out there
her name sounds familiar any updates with her case?
I just got an Ancestry DNA thing done for Christmas. Kinda cool that somewhere down the line in the future anyone even slightly related to me could be caught for crime with this. Love it!
u may think its cool now...but wait 5 or 10 yrs...big brother now has your dna...
Exactly
@@Lauren-vd4qe oh shut up. i can't believe you're so selfish that you are more concerned about "big brother" having your dna than saving families mental health and lives or even children's and victim's lives if they aren't killed
Please talk about the case of Lorenzo Cacho. Its a little boy from Puerto Rico that was killed in his own room and to this day we still don’t know who did it. Evidence was wiped clean so quick and thrown away.
Samantha Gonzalez Ana did it! She’s not guilty because of Money
Such a beautiful little girl.
I can’t lie. I’ve been binge watching your videos and my heart breaks for these victims and their families. Makes me wanna hold my baby tighter and never let him go!

I hope you can see this message. I habe been watching you since you started and I get excited every week to see what new stories you cover. This is the first time you cover a story that is so close to where I live and I just wanted to tell you how happy I am you covered a story I was so interested in. You are amazing at what you do!
Can you do a "where is" video about the actress Tammy Lynn Leppert who started in the movie scarface

Yes please!
i feel so bad for everyone involved, the lady who saw her last, her friend she went to go play with, her mom. They all must have some guilt they will never compile shake.
I am so thankful for this beautiful family and sweet April❤️ so happy the family can now start to heal..... April is with god right now...... and is playing with all the toys there can ever be... happy, not in pain💕
Please go over the case of Amy Renee Mihaljevic. She was murdered near my home town and many of us are confused on this murder. It’s very important to me as well for personal reasons. I love your videos about murder mysteries and would love to hear your input on her case. Thank you❤️
A horrific way to pass for a beautiful child, she did not deserve this. I am glad that justice has been served and that horrible man is in prison. My heart goes out for all of her family❤️
April Tinsley live a few minutes away from where I live now, although I wasn’t born when this abduction happened, the case was just solved... And, it’s scary to hear what can happen in a small city like Fort Wayne... Rest in paradise, Angel.
As I’m on the treadmill , binge watching these videos, I look behind my back especially with the spooky music 😩😩😩💔💔❤️❤️ 👀
