Hey bro, So the idea is, You want a version with plenty of head room to give to an artist to take to the studio. I would say around -6db of headroom is the minimum. This just means that the engineer that is working on the vocal track has enough room to work with. And you are correct the version that you upload to youtube/beatstore should be a much louder version. What I do is add a softclipper to my pre-master buss and this will prevent your master signal from becoming distorted. Bounce one version at -6 peak volume and then another at 0db with the soft clipper enabled. There is an up to date mixing tutorial on my channel that goes into a little bit more detail so I'd suggest you go and watch that too bro 🙌🙌
I downloaded Fresh Air and I can't get it into my daw. I am using MPC Beats. I downloaded the slate digital connect. I also downloaded a Eq from slate digital and it want even show up on my computer. I don't know what's going on.
I still think everyone should avoid Fresh air. Plenty of other things that will give you crispy top end. My two cents, opening large projects can sometimes load a lot longer because Fresh air uses ilok
