Thanks, I ran the ski 95% 6300-6400 RPM’s @ 64-65MPH the MPG was showing 4.8. Keep in mind I only have 6hrs at this point. I did the math as well from the distance traveled & amount of fuel to refill and it was spot on. Thanks for watching.
@@LifeBeginsOnTheWater very interesting. 1800 HO's usually get 6.2-6.5 MPG and I heard the 1900 engine was more fuel efficient so I was hoping to see that... but maybe the engine is not broken in enough and we don't have enough hours on the engine to get a true average.
@@NickKoutavas That is quite possibly the case. As well as what size is someone monitoring that by. I personally chose 45-46 MPH because that’s the speed most in our group usually cruises at 80-90% of the time. I did have the skis front compartment completely full of gear & 2.5 gallons of extra fuel for what’s it worth noting.
I see you are running in performance mode. Did you notice how this differs from turning the mode off? Also I understand that part of performance mode is that it automatically changes the trim at different speeds. What happens if you manually change the trim? Is it ignored, or does it turn off performance mode, or does it use your manual setting instead of the automatic setting? I guess these are all questions I can answer once I am able to use my own machine this summer but until then all I have is videos such as yours.
@sethg.4127 You’re correct, I did run & film this during while in performance mode. I only have a chance to ride twice so far. I’m not sure if the overall top speed would have been effect in comfort mode (I don’t think it will). I know for a fact Economy mode top speed is effect and only allowed 30MPH. The trim setting in Performance mode I did notice it would start off trimmed down until I was up on plane and moving good. Once off throttle coming back off plane it would trim back down. While in performance mode you can still change the trim setting where you like. This will not turn off performance mode. Next few rides I’m sure I will learn a lot more about these features. Thanks again for watching & supporting the channel.
@@LifeBeginsOnTheWater Very interesting. Thanks for the information. On my 2021 the speed shown on the speedometer was an estimate based on engine RPM and not accurate. It looks like this one has built in GPS for the maps and uses that GPS module to display the speed. Appears to be much more accurate. I was just reading you have to pay $200 to buy a map card. Looking forward to more videos, I see you have posted some new shorts!
I would like to Scott, in this case it would only be 4 gallons. The exhaust tubes & baffles have changed. I’m not looking to remove or cut anything to make this happen. I appreciate you watching my brother
Tim, I have spend sometime on the VX HO & GP HO. Smaller and a little more playful, with that being said this FX isn’t a slouched by any stretch imagination. The handing characteristics are very similar. The FX shines on the chopper/rough water conditions. Way more comfort and doesn’t feel like you got beat up by the end of a long days. Plus the larger storage and other features to note. No Boat like feeling! Thanks for watching
Absolutely no problem, I will have to thank Kevin. I had a blast on his live show. Let me know if you need anything else. Best regards with your future purchase. Keep us posted.
I ran the ski on comfort mode most of the time. Keep in mind depending on how much fuel, cargo, size of rider and even outdoor temps could change the overall top speed. And I’m sure like every other ski, no two 100% alike.
I have the same ski and get about 62. Another variable besides what you’ve mentioned is the GPS signal. This ski uses GPS for its speed measurement instead of the small wheel on the ride plate. Therefore, if you're only connected to one GPS satellite, your speed will be less accurate compared to a ski connected to the maximum of 13 satellites. With that said I’m thinking about changing my intake grate and ride plate for better handling and speed
With this new 1.9 liter you would be surprised how close they would be. The motor is absolutely amazing. Great acceleration & mid range all the way to top speed. I’m very pleased with the purchases. Thanks for commenting and watching!
The maintenance will be more on the SVHO models for sure. So far no complaints about owning a HO model over my SVHO’s currently. Time will tell, but I don’t think my mind will change. The new 1.9 liter HO is pretty amazing so far. Hopefully I will get to spend more time on her soon! Thanks again for watching and commenting
@@LifeBeginsOnTheWater just had the supercharger go out on my 2011 FX cruiser SHO. Had 13 great years and over 350 hours of beating the shit out of it. Can’t complain, surprised it lasted this long and threw that much abuse
Routine annual maintenance is not more for a SC ski compared to NA ski. I’ve had both the FX HO and FX SVHO and the inspection items are similar. Maybe in a few years the SC may need some kind of maintenance. Meanwhile, maintenance costs are about the same.
hahahaha My 10 yr Seadoo GTR 215 would smoke this thing! It will run 68-69 all day long! A new Seadoo RXP-X has 325 horsepower and goes 0to60 in 3.6 seconds!

Great results! You're getting 2+ mph better than my 2023 FX HO.
Thanks Mark, yeah ole girl seems to have a little pep in her step! I appreciate you watching.

Thanks 😊
