Can you arm the external sensors separately to the internal sensors? When I'm home at night I want to move around freely inside the house but arm the external sensors. When I leave the house I want everything armed.
Is there something more modern or better than this system now, or do ppl still use these? About to do a whole home with alarm and intercom systems and not sure what direction to take...

Quick question, my girlfriend and I both have to work different shifts. Is there a way i can set a tag to disarm the alarm for 5 or 10 minutes? Or with a code on the keypad? So i can get in and switch off for 10 minutes and it switches automatically back on?

Can I deploy the alarm without the Keypad while relying on the app and keyfob for arming and disarming?
Also, can I use one panel for multiple houses as long as they within the ranges of the detectors? Am I able to partition this alarm as I would a wired alarm? Can I also assign the different areas to notify the relevant users upon alarm activation?

yes you can do it via Fob or app , and yes areas can be setup in essence allowing multi areas to be armed / disarmed separate to each other 😊

Hi and thanks, yes via the app you turn turn off the hub volume so it wont then have the audio function

Hi Dave. Another great video many thanks. One question. If installing this as an end user do we need a hik pro account? Is it possible to set up and config without?
When I try to pair the PIR sensor using the HikConnect app with the AX Pro, the LED only flashes orange and does not pair.
Please change the batteries to ensure its not them , if still the same please format the detector and try again - Hold the tamper switch for 8 s and power the device on at the same time. The red LED flashes 3 times when the formatting operation is completed
Do you know if its possible to use multiple AX Pro Systems in the Hik- Connect App?

I installed 3 axpro systems last month, two of them giving an RF malfunction. The systems works fine, and I didn't see any issues in working. But this RF malfunction stays in the application, also on the panel the malfunction light is on. Do you know anything how to solve this? Or what's the cause of it?
Hi Dave what is the signal strength of the intruder alarm- as I was looking at installing it in a large property - storing the hub in the loft in a cupboard cat5e linked to the router thanks

Hi Kwarkusmodius, ARC is a Alarm Receiving Centre, basically a site that monitors signals from alarm systems and then contacts keyholders/police etc

One question. Do you know if you can set the built in card reader to arm/disarm only certain areas? I didn't find this option in settings.
Is this solution from Hikvision the type "buy, install and forget" or is there any subscription for the hikvision cloud and app service? Asking as private individual user. As I am looking into Pyronix enforcer and Hikvision AX and AX is tempting me with the photo verification after the PIR triggering. Is there going to be a smoke sensor added in future. Can you connect via the app to the PIR sensors with build in camera for a live view? Thanks in advance
the app is free unless you use the HIK-Pro Connect connection with subscription
Thanks Dave, Another Great Video, very informative. I am looking forward to this model arriving in Australia, at the moment we only have access to the Axiom Hub, still a great panel but no PIR Cams.
Those PIR cams look a lot like Risco's, maybe Pyronix made them as well ? Hopefully there will be a firmware upgrade for the keyfob buttons to be able to operate an output on the wireless output expander to open a gate and garage door! Big difference in the the speed of connection for the Hikvision panel compared to Bosch and Risco, about 10 times faster, which is great. Thanks again, looking forward to the next one.

I'm an alarm technician and I also live in Australia and am surprised that the wholesalers I deal with don't sell the pro. Kind of disappointed because I'm keen on the PIRCAM. I mean you can achieve the same thing with certain Hikvision cameras but this option is easier and probably cheaper.
@@MarekUtd Hikvision Aus told me they should have it in Australia by the end of the year, but I wouldn't hold my breath!
Hi mate, thanks for another cracking review. I currently have an ADT system that I'm looking to replace with this or Pyronix. Any steer on the difference between this and the Pyronix Enforcer system?
Thanks Chris, they both have the plus points, Pyronix is very stable which AXPro is also but as its new its being added to a lot , you also don’t have to pay the monthly subscription for AX either, so that can be positive

Hi and thanks , they can work up to 1200mtrs for the PIR but that will be optimum conditions , I think 25mtrs is more than ok in the scenario you mention
Or you can use AX PRO DS-PR1-WE wireless repeater if necessary 😉
So it is the Hub that act as a sirene? The kits do not include a sirene by default and seems a bit of a miss.
My alarm sent every message 2 times, AND over network AND over 4g... I want the ax pro only use 4g when there is no netwerk. How can i configure that? Can you please help?
Can and if how do you set up a part set? Ie Full; set 3 downstairs pir's and 2 door contacts Then one pir on landing so its off at night

Could you add better hikvision cameras like the 8mp colorvu to the ax pro so if some was to jump over your back gate etc it would alarm?
you can link cameras to the system yes via cctv linkage option for event linking

Great review dave thank you verry mutch i am going to buy this alarm system for my house with 4 zones(area's?), Garage, Home downstairs, guest living part and garden shed. One question how do you switch on/off the different zones/area's from the keypanels? So if i am at home the alarm is still on for the garage and the shed . How do you put on/off the diverent zones/area's from the diverent keypanels? or if you leaving the house how to switch on all the zones/area's at onces of seperated? Does these scenario's work this way from the keypanels? And second question are there plans to sell keypanel with integrated, build in tag reader? because i have 5 enterances and now i have to put 5 keypanels and 5 tag readers. That doesn't looks nice (my wife opinion)

Can I link the alarm to my existing live guard cameras, so if the alarm is triggered, instead of an external bell box, my camera alarm would sound (and lights flash)?
Yes you can. You can point a Live Guard Camera to an Input Sensor [eg. shed door reed switch] the Ax Pro will take pics [same as the PIRCAM] from the Camera & send via Hik-Connect when the sensor is activated in Armed Mode. Also options exist to use Ax Pro Input/Relay devices connected to Live Guard Camera I/0 to configure & arm Live Guard Camera functions as an input zone/sensor for Ax Pro Alarm
With the relay module, is the system able to unlock a door when the wireless mifare reader is swiped? i.e. basic access control.
are you referring to when the system is disarmed via the prox card?
@@DVSLTD I mean, swipe to disarm the alarm and unlock the door. The door then re-locks while the alarm remains disarmed.
Subsequent swipes would then just unlock the door. At the end of the day the alarm is re-armed through a keypad.
Or am I asking too much from this system?
probably not in the format as you describe. it is an alarm panel therefore any swipe to the reader would Arm/Disarm the Alarm. There may be a feature which points to the "first to Arrive" that could potentially unlock a lock but i can't be sure at moment. @@veryboringname.
@@gazfrc4754 It's a pity as it would be a very simple software tweak for them that could be useful for some applications. e.g. if a zone is on and someone swipes a fob, turn off the alarm and pulse the relay for 5 secs. They could potentially sell more relay modules as a result too.

IP Address of the NVR & the Channel Number refers to the NVR channel the camera is connected to.
FYI - if it follows the same process as connecting cameras to the Gen 2 Video Intercom, then in NVR setting [System Service] change RTSP & HTTP Auth to digest/basic & turn off stream ecryption, change camera sub-stream encoding compression to 264.

you can corner mount them as they are , there are mounting holes in the casing

Hi, Could you please tell me roughly how much data would this use for 4g Sim card? Wanting 4 x Detectors with cameras on them. I know its depending how much it gets used but just rough estimate. Leaving the house for 6 months & trying to work out what data plan i need.

@@Thewolt3 You can press the capture button on symbol to update it with 1 image but it’s more for reference checking than actual feature if that makes sense but can be used if it’s helpful , I can do a quick video and send it if you let me know your email address by using askdvs@dvs.co.uk

The external bell is way too small, also - no screen print? Sounds more like a DIY system to me, such as Yale, not a proper kit for installers
The bell is small , we don’t offer screen print , but it wont be long, it’s a lot more advanced the Yale

It was a big mistake to buy their system. I forgot my password... submitted numerous requests but is useless. No customer service.

Is pyronix a hikvision alarm system too?
Pyronix is owned by Hikvision but they made their own technology long before HIK Acquired them , HIK have used some of there hardware for there alarm but pyronix Is still separate system in reality
HIKVision appears to have a confusing strategy - they have Pyronix, work on that! Launching another system aimed at whom? The DIY type? It just doesn't add up. About as useful as a third leg.
A 3rd leg is very useful, you can run much faster

The question is, what about Pyronix enforcer ,how compare them two alarms.
Why Hikvision made wireless alarm if they have already one in offer, in fact Pyronix has but is it Hikvision and Pyronix still fusions company?
From what I can tell the enforcer is for alarm engineers and this would be for anyone that as a basic knowledge. I’d call this a budget version and Pyronix enforcer been the high end. When the WiFi goes down does that mean the alarm is not fully functional? Or would it still maintain Functionality and then once WiFi is corrected it would just talk to the cloud again?
