I love the teamwork in your family. Seeing a family come together, care for one another and support one another as you share the work of home is inspiring. The living room is lovely with the new rug and it matches perfectly with the couches. You’re correct that shoes will need to be removed when entering the home now to protect the rug. At first, I thought the next bedroom would be best to complete, but the whole family uses the living room and would benefit from its completion. I love the new pillows and would combine them with just one or two of the large pillows. The new pillows add a splash of color. Lovely!!

In the US we say we “thrifted the item” bc we bought it in a thrift store. I love going to thrift stores to find what I need. Why buy new? We also have Facebook marketplace. People can post the items they don’t want and we can find what we need and meet with the person somewhere to pay them. I like that too.
I’ve been cleaning like this too. I live in the country and my house gets so duty!
I have some storage boxes that fit under my our bed and I keep winter clothes in summer. Where I live it’s mostly warm outside. We have about 3 months of cooler weather.
When I was a child my mom taught me to dust and wipe everything first, then sweep, lastly we mop. Then we wash the linens. This is how I still do it. I do this in each room.
Removing shoes is very important.

The large beige pillows looks more like a cohesive sofa, then the small throw pillows will look nice as an accent.
Leave the big pillows to support your back. Add the decorative small pillows on the corners as accent pillows.

Hi Joyce as an Afrikan, living out here in the west; I have not become very accustomed to using a mop. To avoid ‘housemaid’ knees, I use gardening knee pads. Back home my mother used to stuff old stockings with rags then tie them around the knees. You need to look after your back, it is not replaceable.😊

if you want to keep the carpet clean , just leave the third couch where it was so that it is a bit difficult to access the kitchen through the living room . Let people use the first corridor entrance to access the kitchen when coming from outside .

Put a small rug at your front door to wipe your feet. It may help with some of the dust. Your living room make over is nice.
Put the big pillows on the couch so it is comfortable to sit on. Then put the small pillows in front of the big pillows for decoration.

Hi! Greetings from Quebec ,Canada 🇨🇦! Beautiful video and your home is looking more beautiful everyday. I am praying that very soon everything comes together including electricity. I have a mop and bucket like yours and it cost $50 Canadian or I believe about equivalent of 4075 Kenyan shillings. I agree with you that it is not a good mop at all. I can only use it for quick spills or to shine up my floors. With the dust situation in your home…until it is finished you might need something heavier. Truthfully I still prefer to wash my kitchen floors by hand even though my husband always says to not get down on the floor as I have have several mops 😂. I found your channel just by chance and am so happy that I have. I love seeing your family , your village and your home coming along. Blessings!!!!!

Wipe chairs let them dry up to avoid mold underneath from the dump fabric.Otherwise keep it up guys. On carpet, fold it round like it was around the shop then drop and unfold by rolling it. Remember to keep it clean to prevent dust and rotting and diseases. All cushions are okay depends on your comfort. The large ones are comfortable,
I wish you could put in the ceilings before you renovate any other room. Ceilings would make your home warmer in winter, cooler in summer and less dusty.

You guys are doing great. I think you should remove the calendar from out of the Living Room. Perhaps put the Calendar in the Kitchen or the Bathroom. A nice picture in a frame will look better to hang in the Living Room.

I love second hand too. We people waist to much, especially in the "1 word countries ". I am a hairdresser from Germany and I do it for 40 years . I love the job. Hairdressers in Germany are not the best payed Jobs but I am happy with my profession. We have big Secondhand Stores here and I bought a lot there my whole life , wonderful substanable things, I couldn't afford new . The big pillows you can make covers for them and use them on back of your couch with the small pillows. Here in the USA we have big pillows on the back of the couch and small pillows also . We call the small pillows throw pillows there for decoration and taking a nap. Awesome job your living room is beautiful just need pictures and paintings. It has come out really beautiful! Yiu can use the big cushions to make some extra pillows for the bedrooms
For the mop try the double bucket method. Boils water to mop your floors here and there let you like. You guys work so hard. Push the couches don’t pull to not strain your backs. Living room looks very good❤
