The Warning never disappoint and love all of their stuff. They also inspired an 11yo girl to learn guitar to queen of the murder scene. Now a 17yo Quinn plays guitar and sings along with 15yo Aria bass/vocals and Jonah 16yo on drums in Freeze The Fall. some of us twa supported their kickstarter for FTF's debut EP called Thrones and i slid down their rabbit hole too and lucky to be along on both bands journey
I love baseline from Ale. I play the drums and piano, but Ale makes me want play the Bass. Greetings from Argentina, coming soon I'll check your music.
The Warning really did a great job with Automatic Sun. I think it is so catchy because it has such a primal rhythm and beat; I've heard the song a few dozen times and I still get goosebumps when I hear it.
Drummers are usually the last person people talk about in bands, unless they are talking shit about Lars, Pau was a better drummer at like 12 than the drummer for one of the most iconic metal bands ever...
Dany plays that Fender Strat Baritone on a few songs on the new album. When Ale switches from her blue Spector to her Ale’s Inferno Spector and Dany switches to her white Fender you can probably guess that Automatic Sun is coming next. Ale had been playing her blue Spector fairly exclusively for awhile since she debuted it for the high production shows last October in Mexico. It’s just great to see her Ale’s Inferno bass onstage again.
I think one of the most awesome strengths of Dani’s voice is her range, power and the ability to sing anthem type lines where she has this soaring element that retains its thickness even in the upper registers!! Thanks for your reaction and you sing like an angel! 🤘🏽✊🏽⚡️VIVA THE WARNING⚡️✊🏽🤘🏽🇲🇽🔥🔥🔥
Yup they are awesome live, go see them when you get the chance. Saw them for the third time last monday in Amsterdam and this song hits like you a freight train. Pau even asked the crowd to join in on her scream of destruction during 'Evolve' and when Pau tells you to do something you oblige! It was also the last headliner from the tour so we had the pleasure of seeing them inviting and thanking their whole team, their parents are part of the crew btw, onstage. So good to see that they remain humble and appreciative, they deserve every bit of the succes they're having!
Dany is playing a baritone guitar, which is an hybrid between a bass and a guitar, with a longer neck, more space between frets, which lets her use much ticker string and she is tuning it in drop A, plus Ale is also tuning her bass in drop A, hence the incredible bass sound.
This video came out the day before the eclipse over north American earlier this year. It was supposed to be a live version but the pyrotechnics and co2 blasts got into the mix so they subbed in the studio version. The Warning's production team is incredibly talented to produce videos of this caliber and they're getting better all the time. If you can find any videos of the recent Pol'and Festival you would be in for a treat. Easily one of their best performances to date.
This brings Badass to a whole new level. They own every square inch of that stage. Definitely my current favorite. The low tuned guitar and bass riffage makes you feel that it's going to be ultra heavy, but the melody and vocal pull it back, it's dark and light combined. It's hard to express, the imagery is insanely trippy. You're the first one I've heard to recognize that artistically, combination of music and image, is greater than the sum of the parts. Can't get enough. Thanks
I don't really speak Spanish but I think Dany said "We have a special surprise. We're going to play a song that isn't out yet. This song is called Automatic Sun" (It's not going to be 100% accurate but, It's essentially what she said) That baritone guitar sounds huge! I love it. This is the song that finally caught me off their new album. I wasn't in love with it. After this song, I gave the album a proper listen and now I adore it almost as much as Error and Queen of The Murder Scene. This song is like Heavy, perhaps a touch poppy with the lyrics and vocals but filthy at the same time. That breakdown at the end caught me by surprise. The one thing I love is The Warning always arranges a song so that it isn't boring at any point. Great band. I love these three sisters.
@@Pancho81010 Oh. Thanks I appreciate it! I’m usually not great at understanding spoken Spanish but, I try to learn Spanish little by little. I appreciate you letting me know that I was correct! Take care.
There is at least one clip of this performance by a fan cam so you can hear what it was like live, it sounded great. They have also performed this song live during multiple concerts this summer as well as the Kimmel and MTV performances others have mentioned.
This song is visceral for me. It literally brings about emotion and chills...every single time I hear this! With the video effects, it's just phenomenal. Video of the year!! I do love them live but this one is just extra special.
Groovy Chaos did the video. The same people who did their Six Feet Deep video. They've made some really great friends in the industry, but what would you expect from folks like them? They are an Automatic Sun. Loved the reaction as always!
Thank you for your reaction, Andrea! ☺️🤘🏼⚡️ There are a couple of professionally shot videos of Automatic Sun like Jimmy Kinmel’s and MTV Push but if you want to appreciate this particular performance, I uploaded their whole Pa’l Norte show to my TH-cam channel. It's funny that some new critics who don't know THE WARNING's musical history, have had trouble classifying the band, saying that it's a pop rock band that wants to be a metal band; but I think that they have gone a bit the other way around a Hard Rock/Metal band with a slight transition to fused to Pop rock to gain new fans; which is not bad after all they are still very young and have a lot of time to experiment with sounds and genres.
I first heard this song the afternoon the Solar Eclipse passed over our town…eerie! I’ll always think of this as the Official Anthem of the Solar Eclipse.
Always excited for The Warning! Love this song so much! I think the technique Dany is using at the beginning that you're talking about is where you hit the strings behind the nut on the headstock. Idk if there's a name for it but it always sounds so cool! I love it. I might have to learn this one. They really are so bad ass! 🔥🔥
It's so much fun to watch musicians reacting to the Warning. For most punters TW songs appear so simple and catchy, but musos catch just how non-simple their music construction really is. Full of fun bits and ironic twists. Thanks
My fave song off their new album! BTW - Band Maid & The Warning just dropped a new collab song - Show Them Both bands are big fans of each other. Think you would like them too!
As always, interesting insights and view points. Check out the Jimmy Kimmel Live performances of "Automatic Sun" and "Sick". They also performed them for MTV Push but not for an audience; basically live sessions.
⚡This video is top tier, and one of their top jams for me! ⚡ So much badassery to take in. 👊 I lost track of many times I have enjoyed this amazing video. Everything about it is just amazing. I don't think you mentioned the Solar eclipse happening in the back ground. This was released at the same time as the total eclipse happened. They say it was a coincidence in timing, but...... yeah. 🌞
Great reaction Andrea. I love that the song gave each of them time to shine. It’s hard to compare them, but Pau owned those drums. The energy she has is insane.
I completely agree with your comments about Dany’s vocals on this one. I think she really took a huge leap with respect to phrasing on the whole Keep Me Fed album.
Andrea, thanks for your reaction and analysis. I think The Warning have many superpowers. Their lyrics and storytelling are at the top of my list. Their live performances are awesome. In my opinion, they haven't written a bad song.
Loved your reaction, especially the analysis on the vocal cadence. Automatic Sun on Jimmy Kimmel Live is what you want next. Flawless live performance, both musically and showmanship-wise. They have so confidence and presence on stage now that nothing can stop them.
Listening to you talk about Dany’s vocals through the first part, then the break down…I was anticipating your reaction to what came next and you didn’t disappoint. Cool thing about the video…it dropped the same day as the recent eclipse. Great reaction.
love your reactions girl! Maybe I missed it but you never talk about how they are from Mexico singing in their non native language. I find these sisters amazing Viva Mexico 🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽
Aloha Andrea, could the word you are looking for in regards to Dany's vocals...sultry? IMHO, This is the most sultry vocal delivery of any of their catalog thus far!
Saw them 2 weeks ago in brooklyn NY and they are one of the few bands that sound better live and I just discovered them about 2 months ago and know all of their works by now and I have never done that with a band! I want to see them live in Mexico where they now draw 10,000 fans and more than likely can draw 20,000 without a doubt !
It's a lesson in how to strip things down and mix in some unusual ingredients. In that way it is one of the most comparable to their earlier work. They don't add in anything that doesn't complete the song. Personally I hope they get back to arranging things entirely themselves, even if they continue co-writing. They have the 'knack' for exactly what to do in terms of including only what is necessary and executing it perfectly.
Although this is the studio audio, there really isn't much of a difference live. I've seen a few live versions, and it's really not that different. Besides, in an interview, they've said they try to record a song that will sound the same in concert as it does on the record.

Hey Andrea! Their music is so unique, because you can sing along, dance along and bang your head to it, all at the same time!
Yes…my thoughts exactly.
so true
That bassline tho!! 🤘⚡🔥
Pau's drumming is what makes this song for me. Actually, all the instrumentation is so well done on this song
Yeah, I love the "bounce" to the drum line.

They are awesome to see live! So sweet and friendly to meet in person and then they go up on stage and tear the roof off the place! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
It is metal - and it is pop. It is fast and slow. It is loud and quiet. Great mix and is great to jam to.
