Lol I remember this in college with my classmates so much fun, but the mixing of alginate is a pain in the ass. Also remember that when placing the tray with the alginate, the pt is suppose to have his/her head straight. Not back or downwards so they won't gag or choke on it.

Angela Martin That’s just the way it’s always been 🤷🏽♀️ we’re one of the few lol buuuttttt actually starting in June we’re switching to color-coded scrubs by class!

Hello! Do you think it’s frowned upon for applicants who previously applied to med school two years ago and after shadowing/volunteering in dentistry decided to pursue dentistry?
not at all in my opinion go for whatever you want to, everyones got their own path in life.
I agree with Dentist Saad. I have a friend in my class that was in medical school for a year and decided it wasn't for him. Now he's in dental school and he loves it. You always have the right to change your mind and follow what you're truly passionate about, and as along as you convey that in your application and address it in your essays, then the admission committee will respect and probably even admire that!
AK 31 okay thank you so much! I was a little worried to apply from reading posts on sdn lol but I contacted schools and one school got back to me saying that it’s okay and there are many applicants with different backgrounds and journeys to dental school ☺️

What subjects do I need to take in high school to become a dentist?
It depends on the university; most UK universities say you need to take biology and chemistry as A levels but if your from the US I have no idea 😂

1st year of dental student has theoritical science ex(anatomy-histology-organic chemistry-physiology etc.) .there is no labs .
Saleh Shaher every school’s curriculum is slightly different! We didn’t have organic chemistry though. But we definitely had lots of labs!
