Another great video. When they reduce production, will they stop producing any friut or just a smaller amount? I like that they grow back pretty fast after pruning.
I believe they will slowly reduce production. From what I read in commercial papaya farms they replace each plant after 3 years to maximize production. If you were growing them for you and your family one plant would probably make plenty of fruit, even after 3 years. When you prune them this way the fruit is easier to pick for longer too

When you prune them this way the fruit is easier to pick for longer too
Please note...not to grow the papaya close to gutter...it will break you gutter although you see the root is very soft
