Fix NFS Unbound DirectX Error DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG/DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED/DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_RESET/DXGI_ERROR_ACCESS_DENIED
Step 1) Delete DX12 File
Origin Games\Need for Speed Unbound\shadercache
Documents\Need For Speed(TM) Unbound\cache
Steamlibrary\steamapps\common\excalibur\shadercache
Step 2) Switch to native resolution
Step 3) Xbox Controller users: Install Xbox Accessories App and update your controller
Step 4) Select "Debug Mode" in Nvidia Control Panel
Step 5) Do a clean installation of graphics driver

Step 6) Install Nvidia Studio driver
Step 7) Run the game on dedicated graphics card
Step 8) Try Windowed mode, lower your graphics
Step 9) Update Windows to the latest version
Step 10) Install DirectX

Step 11) Put -d3d11 or -dx11 or -dx12 in the launch options
Step 12) Verify the game files
Step 13) Increase Virtual Memory
View Advanced system settings
Initial Size: 1.5 x Total Ram
Maximum Size: 3 X Total Ram
Step 14) Disable Steam/Origin Overlay and other overlay apps (Discord/GeForce Experience), close all the overclocking apps (MSI After burner/Rivatuner etc.)
Step 15) Disconnect multiple monitors, unplug all the USB devices, Logitech wheel, joystick, Razer Tartarus gamepad, vjoy, Turn off Razer Synapse (razor lighting effects) and MSI Dragon Center, corsair software, end nahimic services & lightingservice.exe in task manager, remove the undervolt
Step 16) Perform clean boot

I did the same and it worked for two sessions. On the third it got me on the second loading screen and I bout threw my controller thru the wall. I’m so tired of this error. Then while trying solutions you’ll change something, boot it and it works making you all excited/relieved only to have the next time you launch be ruined. I’ve tried everything in this video and 20 others. So tired of it. Email EA tonight just to see what they would even respond with.

Was really hoping one of these would work. I’d try one, crash, then the next solution I would setup and launch the game for it to work! Walk away for a min to grab a drink or whatever and come back to a froze game with the error of death. Unfortunately none of these have worked and been a permanent solution. Plus the last two are completely not related to the game or any software/hardware that would affect NFS loading and functioning just to save anyone time reading this. I emailed EA finally tonight with a 2500 word message about this error and how I know they’ll come back with a Windows update I need to do but can’t because of memory shortage and how that response isn’t fair considering the game does launch and is playable 10-15% of the time. It’s loading screens or pausing where it crashes but if I can get to a car and drive it, good chance I got a few good hours of gaming lol dad but a price I currently have to pay
