Not for the aussies down under! But I have a beautiful tree outside my window which I believe, (I have a bet with my dad) that it blooms radiant pink flowers. So I will still have the cottagecore vibe.
I like the DIY stuff that is sometimes shown, but when they start telling you 'get these cottagecore themed careers to live your cottagecore lifestyle' and they list like 10 crappy retail jobs that typically pay minimum wage and have no medical benefits and the rest require thousands of dollars to get you through school for credentials and degrees to teach or own a business it's like, okay so either be already rich enough to live the aesthetic or be dirt poor enough that nobody can tell the difference if ur cottagecore or on the brink of bankruptsy xD
The one with the person removing the rat reminds me of a story of my own- a couple years back I was visiting the old haunted family farm in Norway for one last gathering before my grandpa sold the place (it was seriously gorgeous, the land and building is just beautiful) and since we have a big family, there wasn’t a lot of room- my aunts had to sleep in the cellar. One morning, they’re woken up by a bat flying around! They were super freaked out but my grandpa is used to dealing with stuff like that on the farm, so he just smashed it with a coke bottle and threw it out the window. Good memories lmao- I have more off grid type stories from that place if anyone’s interested :]
i recommend watching anne of green gables 1985 (i think tis the year) i feel like when i read the books the actress looks more anne than in anne with an e
best thing about my life: I get to volunteer in one of the places at 10:47, its just as good except you get to be one of the actors, and it feels even better than visiting!
Is it just me or whenever you try to be cottage core you feel like you're forcing yourself and that you're just faking it, like getting some flowers, you feel like you're faking getting flowers like you just want to be cottagecore but you're pretending?
For me it's relaxing and a rezone to escape from society that I dislike away from judgment away from technology away from ppl and only piece doing what I love and not for entertainment for ppl on the internet something that is for me and not for avery one something Pearsonal
friend, we're all here because we think naturey things are cool. there's no such thing as a "real cottagecore person". Just try things out! have fun with it there's no pressure. you don't have to worry about faking anything. if you're worried about doing cottagecorish stuff costing too much money, i recommend learning how to make decent veggie soup, it's very cottagecore and actually saves money.
Try cream coloured or brown slacks, or black ones for a little more sophistication. You can also try jeans, but at the risk of modernising it. Then try loose, flowing white shirts, brown sweater vests, blazers hung over your shoulders like a cape, chunky shoes and lots of jewellery. These are suggestions, obviously, but I feel they might help a little bit.
