- Awajishima Monkey Center is a facility integrated with the mountain. Monkeys usually spend time in the mountains. They come to the facility and get food when food is low. There are many babies from early summer.

it is nice to finally see monkey videos where the person doing the recording is not trying to interfere with the animals. Not being allowed to handle them. It is refreshing to see someone actually showing these monkeys and being able to enjoy a monkey video. I just wish you would not include that music. I like hearing the monkeys and all their noises. It is nature after all.

Thank you so much for your response. If they are free to come and go at will that makes a difference. I hope that I am understanding you correctly. They are never locked into the concrete enclose-rs? If that is correct, then I that that is wonderful that they can come and be fed well, and in the not so lean times go out and be able to forage. Not locked up is what needs to be stopped. I've seen enclosures in other countries that they call a zoo. But the poor creatures sleep on concrete and live on it. It's horrific!!, Leads to deaths by disease, and unrest among they troupes. Sickening. We have no right to do that. Thank you again,.

I'm sorry but I think evolution got it wrong when it comes to their physical abilties We should have kept those hand & feet imagine what an incredible species we would be with those?
So your telling me this is their natural life? Since when have they PAVED the jungle? I can only hope you have smartened up and made a new enclosure. How sad to make them live on concrete and call it " natural ".
Thank you for your comment.The monkeys live a lot of time on mountains of nature.They come to the park when there is little bait.Since Japan is a narrow country, nature is decreasing.We are happy that humans and animals can coexist.

The Mom @ 2:20 looks like she may have been in a fight as the right index finger is missing & the right two are pointed in awkward angle. She'll have serious issues w/arthritis in the future if not already. Could have done w/out the music...natural sound of the monkey's & the babies would have been far more enjoyable.
