Hi from Australia. I too am a 175 fan. My first new bike was a 1972 CT2 Yamaha. I have a few 175s including a twin shock MX in yellow and black, a 1969 CT1 with an orange tank and a TY 175 black and orange second model 1976.The 175s are way nicer and lighter than the DT250s. The 175 MXs were not popular in the day because the two most popular classes were 125 and 250, although a good 175 MX was probably a better moto cross bike due to its much lighter weight.
They had a 175 class for a short time in the USA. Feel free to post pictures of your bikes on www.legends-Yamaha-enduros.com if you want.
