I love how careful you were not to completely nail that zeppelin riff

Just bought this one. Really like the 12” radius neck and rolled board. No sharp fret ends. Build quality is top notch.

That was my biggest takeaway too, just the overall solid build quality. Everything feels "premium" on them, even moreso than on the American Performer/American Professional series IMHO. You certainly get a better "spec sheet" with the Player Plus.

Just got this guitar in Butterscotch Blonde two days ago. It's very versatile and quite enjoyable to play.

First mod I made to my 2004 Nashville tele was adding that exact mod. Push pull pot that turned on the bridge pickup. Perfect guitar after that. Paid 350 bucks for em back in those days

I really appreciate you playing some popular tele and strat riffs to really give us an understanding of the tones. Sometimes it's hard to decipher the exact tones with random playing. As someone who can really only afford one guitar atm being able to nail tele tones and a lot of the 4th position strat tones in one guitar is a no brainer but I have yet been unable to tell exactly how strat like you can get with this. So thank you. You sold a guitar : )

I love Pao Ferro fretboards. Doesn't require a finish like maple but has the high end snap

I just got this in a 3 way Sunburst! Excellent axe!

I own one, with same colour also :) The only issue is that if you're aiming for that classic tele tone and feel, this model falls short. In my opinion, pickups gives off a vibe that's too hot, harsh, and modern for a telecaster. However, don't get me wrong; it's still a fantastic instrument and boasts a premium feel with several upgrades compared to the basic player series. The finish in this color is absolutely stunning, and the guitar is incredibly comfortable to play, thanks to the comfort cut in the body and the rounded neck with a satin finish. Overall, it's a great guitar, and with a Fender sticker on it, priced around a grand, it's a great deal for money. Thanks for the insightful review! By the way, I missed the details on the amp you used - it sounds great.

Isn’t the colour Aged Candy Apple Red and not Victory Copper?

Agree. This is a fine instrument-either as a no. 1 or as an added Tele, given the ‘plus’ things it can do.

the color is beautiful, fender makes beautiful guitars, I have a few guitars including gibsons lined up next to my fenders, but those fenders wow.

Nice Mate! I have the exact same one and yes ,I did change the string tree. Cheers. Dallas

Nice gat - tho a 6 way Oak Grigsby selector switch gives me bridge / neck without a push-pull knob.

I have the "deluxe" version of this and the string tree is about an inch closer to the nut than it appears on yours. In this position it has no problem at all. IDK, maybe they didn't want the string tree to interfere with their logo on that one. Weird.

So it seems this guitar is really versatile and you can do a lot with it for different genres. So If I go with this versus the non nashville I'm 100% not losing that Tele sound cause of the Push pull neck pickup knob?

as far as I've understood after watching/reading/listening to a lot of reviews and guides, there's no major difference besides the middle pickup, so more sound options, the better?

Sounds lovely and liked the ‘maxi-jingle’ too.. kind of slightly dissonant Wilco (the band) trying out a new song intro in a neighbour’s garage at around 9.30pm.

Always fun to try out new technologies/guitars. I buy them, then leave them behind and go back to traditional layouts that I’ve used for 50 years… It doesn’t seem that Fender, Gibson or whomever can improve on the perfection they created, decades ago.

So is the player series just like the Mexican made Deluxe Nashville tele but with the extra push pull knob?

Cracking review - I’m in two minds, I am choosing between Player Plus Tele or a used American Tele. Can’t work out what would be the better instrument. I have a Gibson Les Paul Studio & a Player Strat, looking for a tele or something a bit difference - PRS SE maybe. Can’t really decide what would be the best value. But excellent video! Cheeers! X

Hey friend...I'll venture to tell you my opinion...So keep only one guitar of yours, the one that best suits your personal taste (just make sure it has an easy neck, good frets, and good tuning keys ) and sell the others...don't buy another guitar, save your money, you will need them one day... What matters is to dedicate yourself to the study and the true joy of making music and nothing else. ...No guitar plays by itself, we are the ones who give it soul from our soul, voice from our voice and quality from the skill of our fingers....

I know they are kind of different beasts, but would you recommend this over the Jason Isbell telecaster?

    • @JacksonBrooksby
      @JacksonBrooksby  2 ปีที่แล้ว

That’s a tricky one. Different beasts for sure but surprisingly comparable quality wise. If you like traditional then go for the Isbell, if you’re up for trying something different try the Nashville.

One of the better demos I have seen for this - thanks for that! Nice to have the extra pick-up combinations for the 'Stratty' positions but in the end it was the Bridge + Neck that grabbed me, the 'all 3' setting seemed a bit muddy and characterless TBH. Whatever - I'm going to check one out at the stockist here in HK next weekend, thanks again!

How do you get that light and those colors? Looks fantastic, so rich.
Btw i dont understand the push pull thing. I'm looking at a deluxe, the predecessor without that function but in white and with the contoured heel, should i reconsider?

Funny but I like my Les Pauls to be vintage inspired I don’t like modern style Les Pauls but wit Fender guitars I can’t stand vintage inspired I really love the modern take of the Ultra and Player Plus Fender guitars 😐 the Nashville Tele is fantastic and I love that color

It could have been really beautiful, except someone put a WHITE pickup in the middle position 😆 Well it can be swapped out at least....

    • @jayz6008

You can also put a white pick guard to disguise it
