It's interesting because designs used to be flat and 2D, then 3D, and then back to being simple, minimalist, and 2D. It appears that we are using vintage designs, but instead of being boring and static, today's UI is flat and dynamic. I've noticed that recent designs, particularly windows and frames, have roundy edges rather than sharp ones.
