Hi Jennifer, thanks for the great questions. The Ural will average 35-40mpg, resulting in 175-200 miles from a full tank. As far as engine cooling, Urals are designed to run safely in all climates. Some riders decide to use our engine oil cooler kit for added peace of mind and cooler temps to extend the oil life, but we have many clients who regularly ride their Urals in very hot climates and have never reported an issue. i wish ural motorcycles were smaller. i am 5'2 with a max leg length of 29 inches. so i cant reach the ground on these motorcycles. i always wanted a sidecar
