Very sad that this gentleman was taken from his young family and the fact that his best friend since they little 5 year old boys makes it even worse. Robocamp19. Very typical Aussie. ......... a Mother of three was bashed and then Murdered by her husband. Four neighbours in two different dwellings testified in Court that they had heard their neighbour screaming, calling out for someone to help her. Not one of the neighbours did anything. (Just a Domestic) Eleven days (after reported missing & screams heard) her body was found. Alison would be alive today IF just one person had cared enough to do something.

    • @anhedonianepiphany5588
      @anhedonianepiphany5588 5 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      @@terririckert7069 Quote: "Very typical Aussie" - _BULLSHIT!_ It's actually _completely_ un-Australian to ignore someone screaming for help, or in _any_ kind of desperate need of assistance. Of course you can find extreme cases where those involved don't subscribe to traditional Australian values, but they are the _exception,_ not the rule. Perhaps you're generalising from sensationalistic news "stories", but you clearly know nothing about what "typical Aussie" _really_ means.
      Issues with the police taking "domestics" seriously are an entirely different matter, and vary from state to state. In fact, if they didn't receive emergency calls from alarmists freaking out about loud, but not threatening or violent, arguments, then they would stand a better chance of knowing whether a "domestic" call out is serious or not.
      Additionally, people responding here are treating the phrase "just a domestic" as being dismissive of domestic abuse, which it isn't. "Just a domestic" almost always refers to a verbal argument between partners, and nothing more (essentially - nothing to worry about, nothing abusive).
      Maybe I'm getting old, and lack the insight of living in a very large city where there are many newcomers who don't behave in the _actual_ typical Aussie way. But, I still encounter _many_ folk all too willing to assist strangers, or even put their lives at risk to save others - _that's_ what "typical Aussie" truly means.

      @Vixen Feline in all western countries if you defend your property from an intruder and injure or kill him, you will be sued and possible head straight to prison. If not then go put yourself in the middle of drug deals gone wrong trying to 'help' people and be the hero, see how long you last. Far too specific - the majority of people would say something like “around 10 o’clock in the morning”.
