Totally agree with grading, for me the spider legs on all my shrimp packs is number one, as soon as you see clear legs it looks wrong to me, exactly as you say; they are a continuation of the pattern. Also the “balance” goes for black and white tail, head spots and tail stripes / spots. This video has absolutely nailed my preferences! Anyone wanting to see this guys competition grade boas, search his library, you will not be disappointed👌

Thank you very much 👍 I would like to know how you call them: Taiwan Bees or TiBees or TaiTiBees or Hybrids or what ? Skyfish says the Galaxys are a mix of Caridina logemanni and Caridina mariae and Caridina cantonensis.

there are certain criteria by which the colors S, SS or SSS are determined, as for the PRL - the picture is simple and understandable, just according to the drawn template. Perhaps the coloring should score certain points.
for example, metallic color +20 points + dots on the head + 20 points.
    10-39 points - S
    40-79 points - SS
    80-100 points - SSS
    Just for example.
I ask because it seems like everyone assigns xlas to their shrimp as they please. There are shrimp, I would say SSS class for sure - the seller or supposedly a specialist says that it is only S. Or vice versa - the coloring clearly does not pull more than S, but is sold as SSS. I would like to have a template for comparison and not just rely on feel or taste.
    This question is very interesting!

I have to disagree with some of the info you shared, BOA has a Cape on tail and needs to have head pattern like you showed, also the male you showed looks like a big spots cape galaxy fishbone so even if it came from BOA Genotype it doesn't make it a BOA in Phenotype, About your group of shrimp I really like them and get why you want to work on the tail part, I hope you take this criticism as my personal point of view, Thanks for sharing yours.

    • @ShrimpTime

Yes I will. This chanal is all about shering knowledg. Sometimes to start a discussion on topic. I had simillar point of view that You have in past. But now I started to look and different sources - even Skyfsh who developed those shrimps. The question is what should the best pattern look like and what is mosted important. Shouldn't we look up to a pattern shown by the creator of those shrimps? He know the best what are the best options in the pattern. Genetics it different topic. I would prefer to get a grade lower shrimp from good herd then better looking patern that isn't stable :)

Okay I see you talk science so if you have the time or any online resource that can teach me about cross-breeding specifically to get the BOA phenotype that would be greatly appreciated. I've only started my research but it would be a nice baseline understanding to have someone explain the breeding in science terms :)
