A bit like Numatic with the Henry HVR200. Came out in 1987 and stayed until 2004 when Numatic finally decided to update the model number when significant changes were implemented.
Just scored a 1988 u1104.a great buy for me at £30.loved this video Steve.always love a good story and fb marketplace is mad,it’s the same for me as nothing is ever local when it comes up.bloody stupid it is.still think a good buy at £20 for you
I like Tableau Dry Lube for zips. It is clear and doesn't wet or stain fabric. I've never had to reapply to a treated zip or curtain track to keep everything easy and smooth running. We've seen Steve struggle to manipulate his stubby spindle this time - I'm sure once he's in the workshop, equipped with the right tools and plenty of lube he'll get this motor purring. It is all so very beige....... 😁

Nice machines and great video, Steve
Glad you enjoyed it
We had the right one, made in 1986, called U1120 (Germany).
Wow I'd love to find one of those!
Just used wd40 on mine,Steve.can’t have been stuck too bad as it came virtually straight undone
Bargain for £20. Vegetables oil is good and won't stain like automotive oil. I have one like this but in an off white, can't remember the year.
Emmaus is a charity shop :)
It's a homeless charity
Well I never knew that! Must've been sold in one of their stores. Thank you for solving the mystery! You're like Miss Marbles :)
