i didn’t like it when betty became a serpent or became “the serpent queen” it was so cringy. and it was better when she wasn’t apart of the serpents or trying to be apart of it. Toni should have been the leader or at least an option. betty just came out of nowhere
Watching this in 2021 and remembering how badass and great of a character toni was until the writers made her being cheryl's girlfriend her only personality trait. Back when toni actually had lines, and rode a motorcycle, and wore leather jackets and flannel. I LOVE Choni dont get me wrong but gosh both vanessa and toni had so much potential until the writers pushed her into the background

I liked Toni and Jughead’s budding relationship at first. They should have been a couple, if only for a little while. Betty should have had some competition

Poor Toni/Vanessa. They really ruined her character to use her to bring in/keep a LGBT audience and I'm sorry to all the people out there who ship her and Cheryl but the relationship just never felt right or made sense for me imo. I feel like after the 1st season and the Blossom storyline was done they didn't know what to do with Cheryl's character next so they forced a relationship with Toni's character to make it easier to write for Cheryl. I think they forgot what made Cheryl work so well in the 1st season. Unfortunately this lead to destroying many characters like Fangs, Sweet Pea and even FP. The Seapents imo was one of the bright spots from this show and many of the characters in it had many backstories that could have been told including Toni. I actually liked the Southside and Northside rivalry. Imo they should have kept the love triangle between Archie and Veronica and Betty and then the Searpents and then whoever else. Gonna miss having FP around on the show.
