Definitely interested in more information about the breeds especially the long-year pigs.

    Animal facts? Yay! :D
    I'd like more, please. :)
However, I'll stick to admiring them like this, as I don't have the appropriate space for an outdoor animal.
Also: Babe's spot as the cutest pig may be in danger. :)
Say, how DO you make sure they don't sneak away?

Hm, they might appreciate the request to pass along some petting once they get older and more used to being handled.
Say, is it like humans for animals in the way that some individuals hate being touched while others adore it?
And is there an etiquette for petting domestic animals?
With dogs and cats, I think I have it down with letting them sniff me and letting them approach you at their pace, if they seem comfortable (dogs are usually more open than cats and will usually go towards you if they like touch, with felines it's best to wait until they demand to be petted to be sure); but I don't recall having tried to pet a pig or a goat, given I live in a city.

Petting a pig and goat is life goals! Highly recommend!

@@twistedcapeDuly noted. I'll check if the local zoo has that option. :)
Is there an approach that's different from cats or dogs, or will what I already do suffice?
Asking so I won't spook the little ones by accident.
I'd prefer to be respectful and ensure they feel as comfortable as possible - animals deserve personal space and their boundaries about it respected the same way people do. :)

@@NiceLittleWolfie your approach sounds perfect. Animals often let you know how they like to be handled. Respect is key.

@@twistedcapeUnderstood, thank you very much. :D
If I get confused, I'll ask a zookeeper for advice - animals mostly go with body language on such matters and my autism sometimes makes me confused about how to interpret non-verbal ques (be it from animals or people).
Though I've learned a lot and have come a long way. Plus, asking is a safe tactic that ensures everyone is on the same page. :)
